Hause Hall farm offers luxury accommodation in the Lake District. It is located mid way up Hallin Fell at the South end of Ullswater in Martindale. It has spectacular views over the fells and up into the hidden valleys of this secluded area in the Lake District. Famous local author and fell walker, A W Wainwright described the Ullswater lakeside walk which starts just at the base of Hallin Fell as “the most beautiful and rewarding in Lakeland.”
The Hause Hall farmstead is a holiday let cottage which extends over several traditional lakeland stone buildings including the Grade II listed five bedroom, five bathroom farmhouse and the adjoining two bedroom, two bathroom Cruik Barn cottage and The Stables which are linked across a traditional paved stone terrace. These three buildings together accommodate up to 18 guests in nine double bedrooms. Hause Hall Farm house is offered as a five bedroom option during the quieter seasons. If they are not taken together with the farm house, the Cruik Barn and the Stables are held empty to protect guest privacy. Hause Hall’s guest comforts are assured with its cast iron open fireplace, four oven aga, high speed satellite broadband, oak kitchen and modern luxury bathrooms. Hause Hall Farm is dog friendly but please be aware the local Herdwick sheep are quite free ranging!
Hause Hall is within a short walk of the Howtown Hotel and its Walkers Bar which is open to non residents and is about a mile up either the country lane or the footpath from the Michelin starred Sharrow Bay Hotel.
