Reception accommodation at Blencowe Hall

An ancient planked oak entrance in the Central Courtyard at Blencowe hall leads to the oak panelled reception room which has an open wood fire and windows opening over the central range formal gardens.

Adjoining this is the oak beamed Billiards Room which has a cast iron fire and traditional salt cupboards set into five foot deep masonry walls. On the other side of the Entrance Hall, there is a cozy snug with a 42” LCD TV and an ancient inglenook fireplace inset with an antique cast iron range.

The Butler’s Pantry and the formal Dining Room are at the front of the South Tower (seating for 24).  This opens via the juliette balconies set into the rent onto the sandstone terraces at the front of the Hall.

Down a passage into the West Range are the Breakfasting Kitchen and Utility Rooms. The ancient inglenook fireplace in the kitchen has been adapted as a secondary seating area with a two story children’s hideaway built into in its massive chimney.

The largest of the five main reception rooms in Blencowe Hall is the Solar which occupies the entire first floor of the North Tower. It has two massive fireplaces – one with an open wood fire and one with a gas fire. Other amenities in the Solar include a wide screen TV, DVD player, stereo and iPod docking system.

Free broadband wifi is available.  Other features include a four oven gas Aga, a separate gas hob, electric oven, two American style side by side refrigerators, a microwave, two dishwashers, a washing machine and a tumble dryer. The utility area has a second sink, extensive storage and another ground floor cloakroom.  Extra fold up beds for children are available as well as cots and highchairs.

Up to two dogs very welcome, please restrict your pets to the ground floor.
