02-03/11 Fireworks Night at Lowther Castle, Lowther, Penrith CA10 2HH

 

Those of you who came to our fireworks display last year will know that Lowther Castle is the most amazing backdrop for pyrotechnics of all kinds. This year, our event will feature fire displays, a lit garden walk, drummers, an array of street food throughout the garden and a showstopping routine of sky-high explosions as a climax to the evening. 03/11 Larch Cottage Christmas Preview, Larch Cottage Nurseries, Melkinthorpe, Penrith, CA10 2DR

Date for your diary! Our very popular Christmas Preview is definitely an event not to be missed!Lower Red Barn is decorated with the most beautiful Christmas decorations and gifts, there is mulled wine, roasted chestnuts and music!This year we have music from a fantastic local Ukulele group the Morland Ukes who will be playing a mix of upbeat and cheery tunes in our courtyard.

29/11-1/12 Holker Hall Celebrates Christmas

Enjoy a wander through the Hall and gardens which are decorated beautifully for this festive season. The place is a treat for romantics and kids will love the visit from Santa as well as interactive festive activities.

Starting 30/11 Santa Express, Lakeside & Haverthwaite Railway

90 minutes of fun-filled festive entertainment when you and your family join the Santa Express, it’s as though you’re part of a festive panto. From elves carol singing as they dish out festive drinks to parents and then with much anticipation, the man in the red suit arrives in the carriage next door.

30/11 Penrith Sparkle, CA11

Local performers giving live performances through the day and Eden FM will be in town to help start the festivities.

At 3.30pm there will be a Jam Jar Parade – bring your decorated jam jar and join in the fun. The parade will lead down to the market square ready for a little bit of sparkle.

The highlight of the day will be the Celebrity Christmas Lights switch on at 4pm
