The Restoration of Cazenovia Hall
A renovation with a simple brief: preserve as much as possible, while maximising comfort and utility.
This gentle renovation of Grade II listed Cazenovia Hall was designed to preserve as much as possible of the original barn layout including the hayloft doors which are now protected by wrought iron juliet balcony railings and the original sandstone walls and layout. The Gin Case Lounge was an old horse powered turning gin which moved the grain grinding wheel shown in the garden.
Cazenovia Hall is furnished with solid oak flooring and underfloor heating, a massive sandstone fireplace and has a heating system designed around low emission wood chip technology using wood chip sourced from our family estate woodlands.
