I absolutely loved my stay here. The lodging was so peaceful and remote, just perfect for a countryside getaway! The local area was stunning and there’s plenty to do. I would definitely recommend

Had a really good stay, relaxing and tranquil. Space felt private and secluded which is what we wanted. Good base to go exploring from, would book again.

Our children grandchildren and gt granddaughter stayed at blencowe hall in August. It was amazing rooms were brilliant we had everything we needed. Lovely sitting room to play board games watch TV etc. Kitchen was great, we got a basket of goodies and wine that was a lovely touch. Would definitely recommend.

Kirkbride Hall was a fantastic place for our family summer holiday with our 4 children. The house was very comfortable and clean. The kitchen knives were sharp (quite rare in our experience of Airbnbs)! The house was also really well stocked with everything we needed for the week. Could not recommend Christine’s place enough, especially for a romantic couples getaway. The Shepard’s Hut was easy to find thanks to Christine’s clear instructions. The bread, milk, eggs & apple juice left for us were an extra special touch & the jam was absolutely delicious. We had the most wonderful experience, spending the evenings around the fire pit & making dinner on the barbecue. There are plently of places to sit outside & inside is especially cozy & welcoming. We did not want to leave & already cannot wait to return. Thank you so much for a gorgeous stay, it was the perfect place to spend my girlfriend’s birthday 🎁

A wonderful relaxing stay, our second visit to the Rowley Estates and Jenny’s Croft did not disappoint. We had an amazing time, as did our 2 dogs on their first stay away from home. We were beautifully provided for with everything we could need, including a wonderful welcome hamper. Spotlessly clean and wonderfully spacious. Absolutely perfect!

Had a lovely few days. Perfect place to stop the world. Was lucky to catch some of the Perseid Meteor Shower while laid in the bed with the doors wide open. Pretty magical.

We enjoyed a lovely 3 night stay at Oak Retreat. We loved the peaceful rural location set in a small wooded area surrounded by farmland. We saw wild rabbits and the sheep woke us up each morning with their enthusiastic grazing. We enjoyed using the BBQ and fire pit on the first night and the outdoor seating is perfectly placed for the last of the evening sun. The shepherds hut itself has everything you need for a cosy stay and the bed is very comfortable. The welcome pack was a lovely touch, especially Christine’s homemade raspberry jam. We walked 30 miles in 3 days during our stay, hiking the Ullswater Way on Day 1, the old Threlkeld railway to Keswick via Latrigg on Day 2, finishing with a local walk to Greystoke along the bridle way stopping for lunch at Greystoke Castle. Christine was helpful and responsive before and during our stay. Thank you for a memorable trip!

the rowleys were exceptionally hospitable. the house is very well set up. 3 large bedrooms with en suite bathrooms. not much more one could ask for. the guests i had with me were very happy.
