We stayed at Blencowe Hall for a long weekend from 31st October with our family and friends. This was for our Civil Partnership ceremony and celebration weekend. We are local to the Penrith area and fell in love with the property when we were looking for a big house for our celebration weekend.

Blencowe Hall is fabulous, a stunning building which has been incredibly well renovated. Especially the tower with glass frontage. We stayed in Cromwell’s Folly – stunning. Beautiful property, very well equipped with lovely bedrooms and communal spaces. It was everything we would expect from a 5 star property. Lovely toiletries too and the property was immaculately clean. All our guests loved their bedrooms and weekend at Blencowe Hall.

We also hired The Byre for our ceremony and celebration meal. It is such a lovely, light space which we decorated ourselves – with colourful lanterns and fairy lights. The arch window at the end of the Byre is beautiful. We had such a magical day and weekend, memories we will treasure forever.

Christine and Joanna were so helpful and excellent in their communication.

We had a wonderful time – thank you so much. Would highly recommend Blencowe to anyone looking for a special occasion celebrations.

We also had family and friends staying at Cazenovia Hall, which they loved too.

Cazenovia Hall is a wonderful place to stay. It is warm, comfortable and well-appointed, with luxurious rooms and stunning views. We were part of a larger group in Blencowe Hall, and so didn’t spend as much time in Cazenovia as it deserved. It was a lovely, calming place to come back to at the end of each busy day. It would make a great base from which to explore the beautiful local area, too.

A ridiculously spacious cottage with lovely rooms and a great garden. Beautiful surroundings and a lovely welcome hamper. We rented for wedding guests but would recommend it to anyone; families or groups of friends alike!

Stayed for 4 nights at this beautiful and peaceful establishment. Very clean and comfortable. Fully equiped and felt like home from home. There was an issue with flies, bit this was reaolved in a very fast manner and problem solved immediately. Highly recommend and will definately stay again. Very friendly and helpful host. Thank You

Relaxing stay, in beautiful well layed out cottages & gardens with wonderful views. The host (Christine) was extremely helpful, informative and prompt to reply. The welcome hampers were fabulous. We would definitely return.

Both cottages were absolutely perfect! We were away competing all weekend with friends and it was the perfect space to wind down in the evening! We couldn’t have asked for any more and the welcome hamper is such a special treat! A very special place to also spend my 30th birthday surrounded by my friends and family! I was impressed by the attention to detail for my daughters wedding. We had a number of questions, all of which were answered clearly. The support that we were given before and during our stay, gave us the confidence that the ‘big day’ would be a success.
The standard and versatility of accommodation, meant that families and unrelated groups could meet up, party or just chill, as we pleased.
The recommended caterers delivered a range of meals over 3 days, which met the needs of all ages and tastes.
It was a weekend to remember, but for all the right reasons.

Beautiful location and cottages exactly as described. Very comfortable. fully kitted out, enough space for everybody and we had a wonderful time celebrating my mum ‘s 90th. I would highly recommend to anybody.
