We gathered as a family of 17 (my brothers & mine), along with 5 dogs to celebrate the lives of our parents, following our father’s death.
We all sat around the large table for breakfast & pudding on our 2nd day with fruit from our father’s garden.
We all sat in the evening with the little ones playing games or watching them play.
The contained area for dogs to run around in was great, especially for the two guide dogs who are not used to having a free run every day! The surrounding wall was a little low for the husky/German Sheperd who is only 18mths old, so on a long lead. The separate dog bin was also useful.
The roads are narrow and winding and there is lots of stopping/reversing to allow others to pass or being thankful others have done this for you.
We ate at The Inn on the Lake, Glenridding 1st night & Pooley Bridge Inn on the 2nd followed by homemade crumble – warmed in the Aga.
Beautiful toiletries/linens & towels made it feel like luxury & views were fantastic.

We had a superb stay at Hause Hall.The location is simply stunning- with breath- taking mountain views, providing the perfect backdrop for a relaxing and memorable holiday. The house, barn and stable are spacious and beautifully presented. It is the ideal venue for a celebratory gathering. A special mention to Christine, who is a spectacular host- always available to answer questions-incredibly informative and who made us feel very well – looked after from start to finish.. We would highly recommend Hause Hall to anyone looking for a hidden, magical retreat in the Lake District. We look forward to returning!

Absolutely gorgeous place to stay – we had a wonderful time thanks to Christine at this location. Beautifully peaceful, with everything you could need at the home, and with stunning views all around the house. You are also close to Ullswater and a river for swimming with plenty of hiking possible too.

Wonderful place for a wedding

The property is fabulous, in a wonderful location with stunning views and walks from the door. Rowley estates provide everything you could think of apart from food. Nothing is too much trouble. Hause Hall is beautifully furnished, extremely comfortable and well maintained. It was my second visit and will not be the last!

We have just had the most amazing family bank holiday weekend at Hause Hall Farm. The surrounding scenery was tranquil and just beautiful with accommodation that was a perfect mix of tradition and comfort. The location was perfect for walks and exploration by foot to the lake and steamer. Hallin Fell which is just by the property was a highlight of the trip with its breathtaking views over the lake at the top ( see photograph ). Thank you to Christine for being so incredibly helpful and welcoming ( we loved our generous hamper and our family dog was even given her own hamper ). We would highly recommend this gem of a place 💚

A beautiful house – perfectly equipped, super comfortable and hard-to-beat views.

Everyone loved the accommodation & the location, there are some super local walks & the position is just stunning. Great for a big group of friends or a family celebration, all rooms beautifully furnished & squeaky clean & Christine is an excellent host. Highly recommended!

I celebrated my 40th birthday weekend at Hause Hall, and it truly exceeded every expectation—I can’t recommend it highly enough. From the moment we arrived, everything felt special. The house itself is absolutely stunning, beautifully maintained, and incredibly well equipped with everything you could possibly need. My friends and I had the most wonderful time. Everyone kept commenting on how comfortable the beds were, and how stylish and inviting the rooms and bathrooms felt—it really added to the whole experience. The terrace is a real highlight, with breathtaking views that made every evening unforgettable. Sitting there with a glass of wine, watching the sunset, was pure magic. The location is perfect too, with so many lovely walks right from the doorstep, making it ideal for both relaxation and exploring. Honestly, none of us wanted to leave—it was that good. We’re already talking about coming back, and I know this won’t be our last visit. We absolutely loved every moment. Thankyou so much for a wonderful stay !
