We could not have had a better stay at this wonderful place! The house is gorgeous and even better than the photos. It has everything you could wish for including many thoughtful touches. It is in a beautiful, peaceful place with plenty to do/visit nearby. The host was very helpful and very responsive to queries. We would absolutely love to visit again.

We had a great stay at the Wythburn and Cazenovia properties. We were a family group of 13 and it worked really well for us. Christine’s comms were all helpful and timely and she responded quickly to a query when we got there. The houses are both really well fitted out, we weren’t missing anything. The extras on arrival were lovely too. Thanks so much for a wonderful experience, highly recommended.

Tastefully furnished, extremely well appointed and ideal location for the Lake District and great places to eat nearby. First rate.

We recently spent four nights at Wythburn Cottage which is situated in beautiful countryside, a rural location but only a mile from the local village and convenient for both Penrith and Keswick. The accommodation is spacious and has been renovated to a very high standard. It is well equipped throughout the property and the welcome basket included lovely produce from all over the Lake District. The accommodation was very clean with lovely Lakeland products in all the bathrooms. This is our second visit having previously stayed in Riverain and we will definitely be returning

We felt welcome from the start, from the generous parking space, we walked through a gate into a beautiful walled garden, safe for the dogs to explore. Another gate took us into the private terrace, also dog proof. Entering Wythburn we found a doggy towel and bowls available to use. The cottage was warm, with a welcome hamper waiting for us and a jar of biscuits for the pooches. Wythburn had everything we needed for our stay; comfy seating, cosy wood burner ready to light, comfy beds and plenty of storage – we even found spare batteries for the TV remote control!
This is our fifth stay with Rowley Estates and fifth different property and every visit has been the same standard. There is no doubt that we will return.

We had a good family fun weekend in very comfortable accommodation. Really cosy and spacious enough for all of us and a big dog!

Wythburn Cottage was our last minute choice for a family get together, partly because it was halfway between the two starting locations of the family members and also because I had stayed at Melmerby Hall 2 years previously for my sister’s 70th.
That had been a great choice for a large family gathering with ages ranging from 4 to 77.
Wythburn Cottage also proved a good choice as all rooms were ensuite and 2 downstairs bedrooms meant that some of the party didn’t have to venture upstairs!
The accommodation was as described and was welcoming – and dog friendly too.
The welcome basket was appreciated as we arrived on a rainy evening and could have a restorative cup of tea before venturing to Penrith for dinner supplies.
Access from the motorway is easy and clear instructions were provided.
We will be back at Blencowe Hall next year for another big family gathering ( this was booked prior to the recent stay at Wythburn Cottage ) and are looking forward to another happy stay in well presented and maintained accomodation.

Stayed for 4 nights at this beautiful and peaceful establishment. Very clean and comfortable. Fully equiped and felt like home from home. There was an issue with flies, bit this was reaolved in a very fast manner and problem solved immediately. Highly recommend and will definately stay again. Very friendly and helpful host. Thank You

Relaxing stay, in beautiful well layed out cottages & gardens with wonderful views. The host (Christine) was extremely helpful, informative and prompt to reply. The welcome hampers were fabulous. We would definitely return.

Both cottages were absolutely perfect! We were away competing all weekend with friends and it was the perfect space to wind down in the evening! We couldn’t have asked for any more and the welcome hamper is such a special treat! A very special place to also spend my 30th birthday surrounded by my friends and family!
