Beautiful stay at Christine’s place! She was so communicative and welcoming. There were so many treats waiting for us and the beds were unbelievably comfortable. Will be back again.

Cedar Retreat was hands-down one of the best Airbnbs we’ve stayed in. The location is beautifully secluded, tucked away in Melmerby with stunning views right on the doorstep – perfect for anyone wanting to properly switch off and relax.

The provisions supplied were a brilliant touch and really elevated the whole experience. Communication with the host was 10/10 throughout – quick, friendly, and helpful from booking right through to checkout.

We’d happily come back and would recommend Cedar Retreat to anyone looking for a peaceful escape in Cumbria. Thank you for having us!

Beautiful cabin! A little gem in the forest. It was quiet and private, with outdoor seating and barbecue facilities available. The interior was cozy and clean, with great vibes and lots to do. The host also provided some bread, milk, jam, coffee, tea, etc. Super kind and hospitable. We had a wonderful stay 🙂

The place was amazing and very clean , we enjoyed staying in the hut . The vibe is very cozy and breathtaking which makes it very suitable for couples who love to have a cozy experience in the woods. In the evening the sunset is very pleasant and beautiful. Christine is very responsive and helpful. The hospitality was excellent and the bedding was clean as well. We had a very pleasant time for one week in your hut, thank you very much for everything and we highly recommend this beautiful place for those who would like to have an experience in the woods.

That was one of my most incredible Airbnb experience! I always looking some places in the wood, isolated and well embraced with nature. Treats was awesome and in deep quality. Feeling lucky we had reach very natural and local products. Cabins were lovely and very well organised. They thought everything for the visitor and it’s obvious you are doing your job in significant enjoy. Definitely I’d like to stay again!

It was brilliant. Beautiful setting and the cabin was superb – lots of little touches and Christine was v helpful!

Exceptionally clean, well provisioned and well thought-out accommodation. Very cosy and has comfortable beds. We had a very peaceful and relaxing break, and saw deer, hares in the field, and heard owls in the woods. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.

We had a great stay here and would definitely recommend it. The place was peaceful, cosy, and really well looked after, with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The surroundings were beautiful and it was the perfect place to relax and switch off for a few days. The host was also very helpful and communication was excellent throughout.

We have just had a long weekend at Cedar Retreat and absolutely loved it! The rural peacefulness is exactly what we were looking for. The shepherds hut is well equipped with anything you could possibly need and the hamper was such a lovely touch. We loved being able to sit out at night having a bbq and a fire. Our dog also loved having a run around! Thank you, we will definitely be returning.
