What a fantastic place to stay. The finish of all the rooms is great. Such good quality. The bed and bedding are so comfy. The kitchen is fully kitted out with every thing you could need. The village bakery is lovely and the pub does great meals and has log fires. The information in the hall is packed with walks and things to do. It’s definitely one of the best places that we have ever stayed and hope to be back soon.

The place was booked for a professional event (lab retreat). Both housing and service were excellent. Highly recommended.

The cottage was beautifully appointed. We enjoyed the snooker / dining table and the short walk to the pub and village bakery. 🙂 . It was easy to get the Lake District from here and we loved the local walks.Â

Amazing cottages which and everything we needed and more. I booked this cottage for a trip with my sister and our 3 children (age 8 – 11). It was perfect. Everywhere was immaculate and clean. The welcome hamper was full of lovely goodies. The kitchen was very well big a spacious and had all the equipment you’d need. You could very easily fit two families in the cottage. The information pack was brilliant gave lots of relevant information about the local area. Thank you for a great stay we will be back.

My family and I stayed at Kirkbride Hall in the summer holidays and we had such an amazing time. The house is beautiful inside and out with a lovely open outlook onto the fells. Melmerby itself is a delightful village, a large village green with a gorgeous stream running through it and swings for the children. The local pub was superb. The Hall was immaculately clean and the owners have thought of everything down to the last detail. We received a welcome hamper upon arrival which was full of local produce and the information folders contained lots of local information for all the family. This really was a wonderful holiday and we would highly recommend Kirkbride Hall to anyone looking for a luxury holiday cottage. This was such a great find and we cannot wait to return!

Ideally located for exploration of the lakes and the Dales. The house has everything required to make the stay as comfortable as possible so you probably only need to bring food (or arrange for shopping to be delivered from the local national supermarket).
There are many helpful tips in the documentation in the house that cover the majority of the lakes.
The people in the local community were welcoming and friendly and the local pub served great food with fine ales on offer.

We rented Kirkbride Hall as overspill accommodation for a large family gathering in Melmerby and found it a wonderfully relaxing place. The house sleeps 8 in 4 spacious rooms, most en suite (we were only 5 as rest of the party were in the big Hall
The amenities were first class with fully equipped kitchen stocked with more than sufficient crockery cutlery and glassware for a full eight person stay.
spacious garden with outside space for barbecues an dining, plus plenty of room for the dog to run around.
we found the owners and their staff most helpful and Melmerby to be a lovely village with nice team rooms and a lovely Pub.
Would definitely return to stay here
