One of the best equipped and appointed cottages we’ve stayed in – everything you could possibly want is provided, it’s good quality and spotlessly clean. It’s a great base for exploring the northern lakes and also the eastern side of Cumbria. Stunning scenery all around you and lovely walks right from the door. Christine has provided very detailed information about the area, places to go, things to see and do, and suggestions for when the weather isn’t so good! There really isn’t anything we could find fault with. Absolutely perfect!

An absolutely fantastic stay. Christine was incredibly helpful. Great communication before our stay including suggestions of local events/walks. We stayed in Cazenovia Hall & Wythburn as we were a group of 8. The accommodation was excellent, clean, tidy, spacious and had everything we needed. Lots of little details – a folder full of suggested walks, recommended restaurants and even things like dog bowls/treats in case we’d forgotten to bring some. The gift basket upon arrival was great – bread, homemade jam, biscuits etc – lovely! We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend to anyone looking in this area. Thank you Christine and team!

A wonderful weekend at Cazenovia Hall with family and friends. It is not often that you visit a holiday home that is so well equipped – from candles and tea lights to almost every kitchen gadget, serving plates, vases, etc. we couldn’t want for more. Loved our first experience with an Aga! The views from every window are stunning. Bedrooms were lovely and the Lakes products provided are a lovely touch. A very quiet and peaceful area – we didn’t hear either neighbouring cottages. A lovely 30 minutes walk to the Boot & Shoe in Greystoke for a delicious lunch. All in all we would highly recommend. Christine was wonderful to communicate with and couldn’t do enough for us.

Cazenovia Hall was hired along with Blencowe Hall for our wedding. Our guests felt they had landed in luxury. Aside from being beautiful, the Hall had everything they needed, a real home from home including a lovely welcome basket of goodies. A gem to return to one day.

A wonderful location, walkable to Greystoke, which hosts a great pub, with brilliant child play area in the beer garden behind, and outdoor Lido and play area. Great dog walks around and nice and peaceful. Very convenient to get to the outskirts of Penrith for shops.
The property is very well equipped and comfortable throughout. With private terrace and bbq, we, as a family and with some fortunate weather, had a really relaxed time.

We had a fantastic time at Wythburn cottage celebrating a family birthday and exploring the Lake District. The welcome hamper was really lovely and even a birthday card was left for my daughter. Christine had certainly gone the extra mile.
The whole experience from our first enquiry was brilliant. Christine was so helpful in answering any of our queries before we booked and the information we received in advance was helpful in our planning activities and booking restaurants before we arrived.

The cottage itself was even better than we expected and with logs for the wood burner plentiful, cosy evenings were enjoyed.
The dining room table converted into a pool table which we made use of one evening too.
The cottage overall was well equipped and the beds very comfortable. Wi-Fi was v reliable.
We would recommend this place and hope to return again ourselves.

We have had an amazing stay here at Wythburn Cottage. Every amenity has been thought of and the welcome hamper the best we have ever had! Thank you. Max enjoyed the snow, especially building his first snowman with his daddy. We ate some fabulous meals, namely at the Boot and Shoe, The Bridge (on the A66) and Dockray Hall. We can especially recommend the Bridge and its twice baked cheese souffle!! Thank you for a wonderful holiday – we will definitely be back!!

My daughter, grand-daughter and I had a lovely stay at Wythburn Cottage. The welcome hamper was outstanding; the cottage was very well-equipped and spotlessly clean; location was great, and the owners and manager were very helpful. Food at the Boot & Shoe in Greystoke was delicious. Already booked the cottage again for next year.

We had such a lovely stay at Cazenovia Hall and Wythburn Cottage. Both cottages were so well equipped; there wasn’t anything we could have possibly needed. The cottages had everything you would expect and more. Even down to things like plastic cutlery for children, a high chair, travel cots, toiletries in all bathrooms, all cooking equipment.

We enjoyed using the pool table in Cazenovia Hall and there were plenty of places indoor and outdoor to relax. There is a pub within a 20min walk which was dog friendly and very welcoming.

Christine, who manages the property, is very responsive and always got back to me straight away with any questions I had.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely be looking to return!!
