Immaculate decor and luxury facilities in this grade II listed historic Lakeland gem.
Past the castle, down a winding garden path, you reach the rose-gold sandstone haven of Wythburn. Sunlight floods into the kitchen from wide arched windows. The vaulted ceiling gives it a spacious grandeur perfect for celebrations and festivities.
Wythburn Cottage is open plan and equipped for a master chef in the spacious kitchen and dining area so you can catch up with loved ones as you uncork the wine, flip the dining table top for a game of billiards or rustle up a feast from your complimentary hamper of local delicacies.
If the Cumbrian mists descend, curl up by the log burning cast iron stove in the galleried lounge, with ornate wrought screens opening down onto the open-plan dining room.
With grace and beauty inside and out, a stay at Wythburn promises memories to cherish.
Your secluded entrance, framed with dry stone walls and overlooking the ancient orchard, is a suntrap for leisurely breakfasts and convivial barbecues. Let children and dogs run off steam safely on your private fully enclosed spacious lawned garden beyond. Wythburn has a second sandstone terrace opening from the breakfasting kitchen adjoining the lawned and beech hedged Rill Garden of Blencowe Hall.

Well appointed kitchen and facilities. Welcome packs had local good quality products which is appreciated. Beautiful gardens, tendered to and kept tidy, enjoyed looking...
Dealing with The Rowley Estates is always a great experience
We had a great time at Cazenovia Hall and Wthburn Cottage. We were a party of 12 and used the Hall for all our meals and socialising. There was sufficient space to do this. The properties were well equipped and the Welcome Basket was probably the best we’ve ever had,...
Stunning houses with a perfect bedroom layout for our stay (7 couples + 1 dog). Christine’s communication was excellent and we had a lovely stay.
We had the most wonderful Christmas in this beautiful cottage. Could not have asked for a better experience. The care and attention to detail, taken at every step, from the enquiry through to our stay, was excellent. Will definitely be booking again!
