Rates range from £ 61 per person per night based on full occupancy of the 1 bedroom for a 3 night mid-week stay in the 2024 early spring season.

Overview

This get away from it all star gazing retreat has a five-foot king-size bed, a hand-painted kitchen with a gas hob and LPG oven, a refrigerator and wifi.

The solar powered hut is insulated with locally sourced sheep’s wool and has heating and a warming towel rail. The ensuite shower room is equipped with a chrome shower with hot running water and a plumbed WC and basin.

In the summer, keep the doors open and enjoy dining al fresco in the private wildflower terrace overlooking the river where you can soak up the sun as well as the beautiful views over the valley and private woodland of The Rowley Estate at Blencowe.

What a fantastic retreat! We had a wonderful and relaxing time staying in the Shepherd’s hut on the Rowley Estate. The communication from the point of booking with suggestions of walks and places of interest was a lovely touch. The hut is private and peaceful with plenty of outside space...

Fabulous Shepherds hut in a quiet secluded spot by the river. Lovely seating area with firepit and wood supplied. Loveiy welcine pack of food. Extremely comfy bed. We will definitely return. Thankyou so much.

We had a brilliant stay at Elm Retreat, so peaceful and private in such a beautiful setting. We enjoyed the fire pit, star gazing, listening to the owls hoot and slept so soundly in the very comfortable bed. A beautifully designed and decorated shepherds hut with incredibly generous breakfast provisions!...

Hut and surroundings were very nice, and the hut was really clean. We also liked the complimentary eggs, milk, butter, orange juice, and loaf of bread.
