We absolutely loved our time in Elm Retreat! I’ve never been so impressed by what an Airbnb offered — the attention to detail, the breakfast hamper, the BBQ/fire pit materials, bug spray, battery lamp, etc. Surroundings are peaceful and private too. An overall great stay

Couldn’t have picked a better place to stay! The location was fantastic — very private, peaceful and quiet, with own fire pit and picnic bench. Being able to hear the stream nearby was so relaxing and really added to the whole experience.
The hut was spotlessly clean, cosy and comfortable, with everything I needed for a lovely stay. I was also gifted some delicious locally sourced food and drinks, which was such a thoughtful and appreciated touch.
It was the perfect place to switch off and enjoy some peace and quiet.
There was also plenty of useful information provided about the local area, including events, walking routes and nearby amenities, which made exploring the surroundings really easy.
Everything was perfect from start to finish. I absolutely loved my stay and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful, cosy and relaxing getaway.

Just had the loveliest stay at Elm Retreat, we arrived to an amazing package of bread, eggs, milk, jam, cheese, butter, apple juice, muesli, tea bags, coffee grinds! Our whole stay was perfect thanks to Christine and the team at Rowley Estates, we would 100% recommend and would definitely come back again. Thank you so much Christine

we had a delightful stay and highly recommend! Perfect for a sunny weekend. The hut is charming and the surrounds are beautiful, very private so perfect for couples. BBQ and fire pit are really easy to use, so fantastic additions. Hosts very generously left us a supply of breakfast items which was a nice touch. Lovely location, easy to explore various areas around Ullswater with starting points for hikes only a short drive away. Bed was very comfy too!

Was a great little hut to stay in for a couple days, next to everything you need for the stay is there for you already, gets hot in there at times but opening a window and letting air in sorts out the problem right away

Lovely host, very clear instructions, lovely environment and quite, spacious & got size bed (even for 6ft)! Would definitely recommend

We enjoyed our stay at elm retreat lovely surroundings very peaceful all we could hear were the birds whistling in the trees. The shepherds hut was clean and cosy and the food hamper was very nice. A shame no ice compartment in the fridge as the weather was extremely hot also a parasol on the outdoor decking would have been perfect. Thankyou Christine for our wedding anniversary card it was much appreciated. We would love to come back in the future.
