This riverside retreat at Blencowe Hall within The Rowley Estates is idyllic. Bluebells, red squirrels, songbirds. The turning of the seasons as colours shift in dappled light. At night the moon rises through laced branches of blackthorn and oak and the owls hoot. It’s so magical we want to offer you a way to linger here. Our shepherds’ huts give you a simple break in the heart of the wilderness with a flourish of The Rowley Estates luxury.

Throw open the french doors onto the sunny deck overlooking the River Petteril for leisurely alfresco breakfasts. Spark the coals for a barbeque on the Weber or light up the fire pit for an evening outdoors. Relax on the balcony overlooking the river in the Adirondack chairs.

After long full days, the Hawthorn Retreat is a sanctuary. Sweet dreams in the five foot king size luxury bed provided with crisp white Egyptian cotton linen.
