A beautiful and high quality cottage in a remote, peaceful and stunning area. We are Family of 5 and dog return regularly to enjoy the views, garden, and of course, the best welcome hamper ever packed full of amazing local produce!

What a fabulous place to stay.
Beautifully furnished with lovely touches. The welcome hamper was a well received treat for the adults and the dog toy hamper for the canine as enjoyed. The garden is so pretty.
The area is stunning with Ulswater just 25mins drive away.

We recently stayed at Jenny’s Croft – a lovely quiet cottage in the Cumbrian countryside. It is a very well appointed cottage with everything you could possibly need during your stay along with the ‘Welcome Hamper’ full of delicious treats! The beds were very comfortable although a 10.5 tog duvet in the summer (especially when the temperatures have been exceptionally high) was a bit much! We were well placed to visit the surrounding area with our dog and found some amazing walks especially Aira Falls which we loved and also a boat trip on Ullswater. The pubs were lovely too! We’ll definitely be back!

We had a wonderful two-night stay at Jenny’s Croft. Christine at The Rowley Estates provided exceptional customer service, responding incredibly promptly despite our very last-minute booking and making everything so easy.

The cottage, grounds and views were beautiful, with a superb standard throughout. The thoughtful welcome hamper was a particular highlight, combining locally produced treats with the estate’s own beautifully branded toiletries. It was a lovely touch and a wonderful way to support local businesses.

The cottage is in a peaceful rural setting; the landmarks of the Lake District are easily accessible by car. It is a beautiful place to visit throughout the year, especially for a cosy autumn or winter escape you simply wouldn’t want to leave.

We recently had a wonderful 8 day stay at Jenny’s Croft in May 2026. The cottage is so lovely and nestled in the small village of Glassonby. There are many fine walks to take out your front door and they take you through the beautiful countryside of the Eden Valley. Christine provides a folder full of maps and descriptions. The cottage is so beautifully appointed. Everything is of the finest quality. The beds are comfy and the bathrooms are lovely with great linens. The kitchen is stocked and has everything you could possibly need. Christine provides a welcome hamper which is full of products from the local area. The gingerbread is the best! We also enjoyed touring the Lake District. The Eden Valley isn’t too far away and it’s nice to be out of the busyness of the southern lakes area. We enjoyed walking around Ullswater and Aira Force. We also drove up to walk the path alongside Hadrian’s Wall and we spent one day walking the Pennine Way. There are many great pubs nearby and it’s fun to try them all. We really look forward to returning for there is still so much to see. I highly recommend Jenny’s Croft!

Had a lovely stay at Jenny’s Croft (and adjoining Glassonby Old Hall) for a family get-together – plenty of space, very clean, good facilities, excellent provisions for children and dogs and a very generous welcome hamper. Just note there are a few steps in the hall for toddlers/people with mobility issues. Hosts were great and very quick to respond to queries. Would definitely recommend and happily stay again!

Beautiful cottage, bigger than we expected! Welcome hamper was a lovely touch and plenty of reading material for recommended walks/things to do in the area. Would definitely recommend!
