Blencowe Hall is an amazing venue inside and out. We had a large group of 30 across both the Hall and Riverain cottage. Everything was brilliant, the views, the spectacular rooms, lots of communal space, and a well equipped kitchen with lots of storage space. The welcome hamper was lovely, the hall and cottage were so comfortable and very clean. All communication with Christine throughout booking and additional information, (organising a hot tub too) was very helpful. We had caterers on one day which was great, and the kids had a great time exploring the hall! It was spotless and all the little details (toiletries, hamper, towels, fire wood, toilet rolls) show a lot of consideration for large groups. We all had a great weekend celebrating a birthday, and would definitely love to come back and stay again!

Wow, Blencowe Hall is just stunning! The owners had everything covered: spotlessly clean, fully equipped kitchen, dining table already set, a large living room, manicured gardens…and done lovely touches. It’s a beautiful Castle/Hall and we will definitely return. An ideal venue for a family celebration.

Amazing place for large group of people to enjoy a special occasion

Another memorable trip to a grand venue – despite how spectacular the property is, it manages to feel like a welcoming home!

Blencowe Hall is absolutely stunning inside and out. We have just had the most amazing, huge family Christmas here and everything about it was brilliant. The rooms are incredible and the views are stunning. Every one of us was completely wowed by the experience of staying in such an amazing building. The place was spotless and every detail has been considered, from wonderful toiletries, fluffy towels and plenty of toilet roll in every bathroom to everything you could possibly wish for and more in a kitchen. And the very extensive welcome pack was very exciting. There were two beautiful Christmas trees and the dining room had been beautifully prepared with crackers, candles, stunning table decorations and napkins folded into Christmas trees. Blencowe Hall is a very special place and we can only hope we may be lucky enough to return one day

What an amazing place this is. Staying in a castle is so magical. All the rooms are different but equally luxurious. It’s an ideal location for a large group – we take our yoga groups here and the dedicated yoga room is great. The owners could not be any more helpful and kind too. Thank you Christine and the team.

We stayed at Blencowe Hall for a long weekend from 31st October with our family and friends. This was for our Civil Partnership ceremony and celebration weekend. We are local to the Penrith area and fell in love with the property when we were looking for a big house for our celebration weekend.

Blencowe Hall is fabulous, a stunning building which has been incredibly well renovated. Especially the tower with glass frontage. We stayed in Cromwell’s Folly – stunning. Beautiful property, very well equipped with lovely bedrooms and communal spaces. It was everything we would expect from a 5 star property. Lovely toiletries too and the property was immaculately clean. All our guests loved their bedrooms and weekend at Blencowe Hall.

We also hired The Byre for our ceremony and celebration meal. It is such a lovely, light space which we decorated ourselves – with colourful lanterns and fairy lights. The arch window at the end of the Byre is beautiful. We had such a magical day and weekend, memories we will treasure forever.

This was my 2nd stay at Blencowe Hall & it did not disappoint!. I arranged a surprise weekend for a friends 50th birthday with 22 guests who were all very impressed with the venue.
From the moment I enquired, the ongoing communication from Christine was 1st class. No only was I kept fully informed of all aspects with my booking, I also received information about caterers, local events & other services that could have been of use to us.
Blencowe Hall is quite simply amazing! A jaw dropping surprise for the birthday girl & all the guests.
We had one very small issue with hot water/heating which Christine arranged to be looked at within 10mins of me contactine her. The issue was outside the property but was immediately fixed & the rest of our weekend went without a hitch. Thank you so very much to Christine & her team for making our weekend truly memorable. Absolutely no hesitation in recommending Blencowe Hall & we would 100% use again.

We stayed at Blencowe Hall from Wednesday to Sunday with a group of 22 for a Traitors Weekend and it was absolutely fantastic. Every aspect of the accommodation suited our needs perfectly, from the spacious layout to the stunning setting and comfortable bedrooms.

Christine and her team were a pleasure to deal with and nothing was too much trouble. The property is extremely well priced for the amount of space and quality it offers.

We had an unforgettable weekend and would definitely consider booking Blencowe Hall again next year if it is available.

The most unbelievable venue. We hired this for wedding accommodation and it did not disappoint — so spacious and carefully curated, with a lovely welcome hamper included. We’ll definitely be back!
