Our children grandchildren and gt granddaughter stayed at blencowe hall in August. It was amazing rooms were brilliant we had everything we needed. Lovely sitting room to play board games watch TV etc. Kitchen was great, we got a basket of goodies and wine that was a lovely touch. Would definitely recommend.

I had my wedding weekend here at Blencowe hall, as well as the surrounding cottages and shepherds huts and it was the best weekend I could have ever asked for. The property was beautiful and fully stalked with things you need like crockery, cooking, fire pits, bbq, coal etc. There is so much space both in Blencowe hall and outdoors so that it never feels crowded and people can always have their own space. We hired out the Byre room which was perfect for our large gatherings, lawn games, bbq and main wedding day reception. All of our guests absolutely loved this place.
Christine (I believe she is one of the owners) and Joanna (coordinator) were so lovely to work with and always answered all of my questions and were very friendly. It’s not easy planning a wedding and 4-day event for 54 people travelling from across the world, but their processes and detailed information made it a lot less stressful.
I would HIGHLY recommend having any type of event here- a family gathering or your wedding. You will not regret it!!

What an incredible place for a family gathering this is! Photos do not do it justice, with its lovely warm kitchen, huge lounge, snooker room and 12 magnificent bedrooms. It took us a while to be able to navigate successfully around all its rooms! The kids loved the gardens with plenty of room for croquet, Frisbee and lots of other outdoor games and despite its size and grandeur, the hall felt welcoming and friendly. There was a generous amount of guest toiletries in all the bathrooms as well as plenty of dishwasher tablets and even several bags of charcoal for the two barbecues. Though there were 16 of us, there was loads of space to relax in and lots to see locally too. We had a very special time at Blencowe and really hope to be back again soon for another memorable family holiday.

Genuinely had the best weekend away celebrating all our 40th birthdays. 16 of us had a blast. Didn’t really need to leave the house for anything. Christine put us in touch with Cumbria hot tub hire which was a nice little luxury to add to an almost perfect weekend.

Absolutely fantastic place! Been twice in 2015 and 2025 and both occasions were brilliant.
You need to go to believe how lovely the place is, well worth a visit with friends and family. Get it booked!

We had a wonderful weekend in the Lake District, staying at beautiful Blencowe Hall absolutely stunning property in a fantastic location just a mile outside a beautiful village of Greystoke. Everything perfect for large groups, all bedrooms beautifully furnished and decorated honestly amazing. Couldn’t fault booking process and all correspondence received up to, during and after our stay, I would honestly recommend it’s a gem of a place.

An amazing Easter wedding weekend for my daughter & son-in-law, 2 horses & dogs! Just a glorious setting for the ceremony, the celebrations & an Easter egg hunt! The accommodation is excellent & we really appreciated the lovely welcome hampers. Thank you so much for helping us make some fabulous family memories; can’t wait to return to make some more!

We hired the whole estate for our wedding over Easter weekend. The Hall, the cottages, the shepherds huts, the grounds and the Byre were all stunning! So well equipped and the lovely little touches like welcome hampers, toiletries etc are a lovely welcoming touch. We came, along with 50 guests, our dogs and our horses and we didn’t want to leave. It was the most perfect weekend in the most beautiful setting! Christine and Joanna were just amazing throughout the whole planning process and were so welcoming when we arrived. Absolutely lovely people, lovely place, We will certainly be back.

Our stay at Blencowe was incredible! What a gorgeous property. Everything was perfect and made celebrating my 50th birthday truly wonderful and unforgettable. Christine and the team were super helpful in answering questions and making sure we felt welcome and at home during our entire stay.
