The accommodation exceeded our expectations. The landscape in the surrounding area was incredibly beautiful, the location was quiet and right from the window or in front of the tiny house you could look at the sheep grazing on the meadow. The tiny house itself was very cozy and the prepared breakfast with bread, jam, muesli, etc. was very good and from the area. Overall absolutely recommended if you like to explore the Lake District!

A lovely place to stay for a long weekend break, will definitely go back for our trip next year!

Really enjoyed our stay in this lovely shepherd’s hut. Christine was super helpful, providing lots of information about the surrounding area and communicating everything we needed to know for our arrival and stay. She also responded straight away to a couple of queries we had during our stay. The shepherds hut had everything we needed, was spotlessly clean and has a lovely view across rolling fields. There was also a breakfast hamper provided on our arrival full of local goodies which was very much appreciated. We would happily stay at Larch Retreat again!

This was a lovely peaceful retreat with beautiful views from the window and set into a slightly wooded area that kept it private. Christine was a very nice host who had lots of nice walk and eating recommendations before check-in. I would very much reccomend as a place to stay.

Had a really good stay, relaxing and tranquil. Space felt private and secluded which is what we wanted. Good base to go exploring from, would book again.

Amazing stay at larch retreat. We had a lovely stay waking up with lovely views of the sheep in the morning! Hut is cozy and equipped with everything we needed! Great location only a short drive from Ullswater

We loved our stay! It felt very private and we loved waking up and seeing the sheep opposite! The hut had everything we needed which was great. We loved being so near to ullswater and being able to explore after a short drive. Great place! We appreciated the messages they sent and left us lovely welcome gifts too!

Larch Retreat was a fantastic little Shepherd’s Hut with everything you could possibly need. Every detail has been thoughtfully considered, and there’s thorough documentation about both the hut and the surrounding area. The kitchen is a great size and was stocked with lovely homemade jam, bread, and granola on arrival – such a nice touch. The log burner made it feel incredibly cosy, and everything was spotless and comfortable. I genuinely couldn’t fault the experience. From booking to checkout, Christine was clear, helpful, and a pleasure to communicate with.

Absolutely beautiful location, very secluded and peaceful, the shepherds hut had everything you could possibly need for our stay and Christine had sent everything we needed to find the place with ease, would highly recommend
