Cute little place with lots of privacy, the hosts were very thoughtful and left us with lots essentials which made things a lot more relaxed as we didn’t need to go into town, had a cute little card written for me on my arrival! Would highly recommend

Amazing hut in a stunning location! Larch Retreat was warm and cosy during some wild weather, hot and powerful shower, with well equipped kitchen including a lovely welcome hamper. Close to Keswick, Ullswater, the local pub and Basecamp Farm Shop – which makes it an ideal base for exploring, eating, drinking and walking!

Perfect short stay, very cosy, clean, well stocked and quiet. Stayed in November during ‘storm bert’ solid build, everything worked. Nice location. Very reasonably priced.

I could not recommend a stay here more highly! Every last detail of our stay here was beyond perfect. I was worried at first about finding it as it is quite secluded and we arrived in the evening when it was dark, but the directions provided took away all the stress and worry and made it easy to find! Upon arriving, we were greeted with an unexpected welcome gift basket full of amazing goodies and also necessities such as bread and milk! The whole place was clean and tidy and the folder full of tips and instructions for using everything made everything easy! I was amazed at the great WiFi connection as well as fantastic water pressure considering the location. We woke up to beautiful views and the peace and quiet of the countryside! The folder also provided us with a great list of events in the local area which gave us loads to do, but the peace and tranquility of the Larch Retreat made it hard to want to leave! The hosts made it clear that if we needed anything they were available!

Our stay at Larch Retreat was heaven on earth! It was beautifully decorated with so many thoughtful touches to make our stay idyllic! With peaceful and picturesque views to wake to , it’s the perfect get away base to explore the autumnal beauty of the Lake District! Christine was so friendly with emails in the lead up to our stay! She shared contact details in case we needed any help, recommendations for things to do and a lovely welcome package with necessities including local produce – the Rowley Estate jam was delicious! After daily 5-6 hours walks/hikes, returning to the peace of Larch Retreat was blissful. A cozy autumnal haven , it also has a fire pit outside that is perfect to curl around with a good book at the end of the day. One a clear night you can also enjoy the dark skies and with a very good camera you’ll catch thousands of stars which we took advantage of as keen photographers! My husband and I will 100% be back one day as it was a trip to remember for a life time

Larch Retreat was beautiful! A lovely personalised welcome from Christine and the place was clean and beautiful. Would highly recommend for a private trip to the Lakes. Not too far from things either which makes it easy.

We had a lovely stay at Larch Retreat. Christine had provided excellent instructions for us to easily find and access the hut. The hut is tucked away at the edge of a secluded woodland, giving privacy and a beautiful view. We enjoyed the welcome package, especially the delicious bread and jam! We really appreciated that the wood burner was left ready to go and kept us more than warm enough in our cosy hut. The kitchen was very well kitted out with a full sized fridge and oven, which was perfect for us as we had brought a couple of meals to cook ourselves. We had all of the cutlery, crockery and utensils that we needed. A very comfortable, relaxing and peaceful stay. Thank you Christine and Team.
