Me and my partner are quite introverted and this stay maximised it! It was a perfect quiet setting but was not far from Keswick or anywhere we went. Christine gave us lots of great foods for our stay and it was really everything we wanted. Walking up to the sheep in the fields and seeing the mist on the hills was the perfect greeting and the difference sources of cooking was great as I am veggie so we could do a bbq half inside and out! A really brilliant stay if you want a quiet serene atmosphere with cosy towns just arms length. If you do stay here we would recommend to go to Buttermere the drive from the hut was amazing! We brought some string lights and hung them around the ‘camp’ which was a nice touch and would recommend as it gets quite dark. We had an amazing time and would definitely come back again, hopefully we will!

We had a lovely stay – the little details such as the coffee and jam really made it feel special. It felt like a secluded spot even though you are close to all the sights and amenities. I would recommend the larch retreat

We were blown away by Larch Retreat, the views from the windows in the morning are breathtaking! Felt very cosy and peaceful there. The trip was everything we expected and more. Highly recommend this place!

It was a very peaceful and lovely cabin like the pictures. We enjoyed the bbq and silence a lot, why not to come one more time for that!

Private area, very clean and had all the amenities needed. The fire pits were a great touch, wood provided and lighters. We enjoyed our stay and felt at home. We ended up making our own low lighting at night with our phones and a bottle of oil- some fairy lights would be perfect for a cosy night here!

Had a wonderful weekend getaway. Beautiful Shepards hut (with everything you could need and more) surrounded by great views and was extremely peaceful. There was plenty to do nearby and lot of ideas from the host too. Would definitely visit again and highly recommend.

After a lovely weekend getaway for our anniversary. We would like to both like to say a massive thank you to you and the rowley estate team for such a lovely stay at larch retreat. It was made extra special with the welcome hamper which was truly unexpected, it certainly started off our weekend well. The Shepards hut was wonderful, everything we’d hoped and more. The little ideas for days out were very helpful and gave us plenty of thing to do throughout the weekend and definitely somethings to come back for.
