Amazing top quality Shepard’s hut. Great features such as wood burner and outside space. Great little bathroom, everything worked perfectly had no problems. Fantastic location! would love to come back again!

The Larch retreat is truly a paradise for anyone looking for a place to stay whilst exploring the lake district! It is such a peaceful and remote location, and is the perfect place to get away from all the noise of the lake district in the holidays. It is care that the Rowley estates team have put a lot of effort into making this place special, and they show dedication and support to whoever choses to stay with them! Would recommend 100%!

We had the most relaxing and beautiful stay here for a few days in August that we truly did not want to leave. The hut is so comfortable with absolutely everything you may need included. We arrived to a lovely welcome hamper which was greatly appreciated. We were super lucky with the weather and managed to use the outdoor space which was equipped with seating, a BBQ and a great firepit! The surrounding area is great and very close to many pubs and 20 minute drive to Keswick. We most enjoyed having the doors open in the morning and looking at the view whilst lay in bed with a cup of tea…absolutely bliss. Thank you so much to Rowley estates for making our stay so wonderful and we cannot wait to return!

We have just returned home from a beautiful 3 night stay at Christine’s Shepherds Hut. Everything was perfect and as described. We absolutely loved our time there, and really wished we had a few extra nights to relax a bit more, after a jam packed weekend in the lakes. We loved the fresh bread, coffee, eggs, juice, and the delicious home made jam, that was waiting for us on arrival, thank you 🙂 Bed was also super comfortable, and the hut had a lovely shower. The fire pit outside is wonderful, and we would have made use of the wood burner inside, had it not been such good weather. Also the view from the private garden area is absolutely stunning. It was so so peaceful. We will look forward to staying here again sometime soon. We also really appreciated the flexibility provided with check in and check out. Cannot fault anything about our stay, it was just perfect. Thank you so much. Dan & Jo

We had a great stay. Lots of privacy and all the comforts. There was a delicious drinks board waiting for us. Definitely recommended!
