Our high expectations prior to going were exceeded on arrival. What a wonderful place. Beautiful inside and out and the owners have clearly gone to a lot of thought and time making sure everything was there for the ease and comfort of guests. Would absolutely recommend for a family or group gathering. Huge thanks to everyone concerned.

I have just had the most fantastic 60th birthday celebration with precious family and friends… Melmerby Hall is a stunning place to stay absolute five star experience from beginning to end. Beautiful hamper gifted to us from the Rowley estates was an added bonus.
The hall has everything you could need in a stay literally home from home.
We have also stayed in Blencowe castle in the past, this property was just as beautiful as the castle… I would highly recommend anybody staying in any of the Rowley properties as they are pure luxury.
We will most definitely be returning in the future.

We took our family of 18 plus extra boyfriends/ girlfriends of grandchildren to Melmerby Hall Rowley Estates over Halloween weekend I highly recommend the accommodation- everything we needed was so well catered for. We all loved the Hall and the grounds and appreciated the extra wonderful touches like – hairdryers and lovely products in the bathrooms. The welcome pack of goodies and the helpful and friendly communication of Christine Rowley herself. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Our walking group are just back from a wonderful stay at Melmerby Hall. The house us a wonderful mix of period style and modern facilities with extensive grounds to explore. On our arrival we had a brilliant hamper full of lovely local products and plenty of the essentials for our self catering stay. Melmerby Hall
Our family (20 of us) long weekend was the best in over 20years.The Hall’s welcoming presentation was excellent and equipment provided eg in the kitchen was really comprehensive.
The location in the centre of the village with cafe/pub was ideal. The hall is set in well kept grounds and woodland with opportunities for walks directly from the Hall. Lots of information on the area was provided by the hosts.
We were all so pleased hat we have agreed to meet here next year!

We booked the Hall with 10 friends for a weekend away in October. The booking process was extremely smooth and Christine very helpful and informative right down to how we wanted beds configured. The arrival process was simple as we had been given the lock box details in advance. The house was spotless, warm and welcoming and there was a lovely welcome hamper and items in the fridge (enough for all 12 of us). First impressions could not have been better. The house is one of the best stocked we have ever seen regarding the kitchen items – you will want for nothing including a supply of logs which allowed us to sit around the fire(s) every day playing games which the 12 of us had never done before and was such fun. The bedrooms are all ensuite (with locally sourced shampoo, body wash, conditioner etc) and we had a beautiful four poster room at the top of the house. There are a couple of pubs nearby if you don’t fancy cooking and we booked the clay pigeon shooting Christine mentions on her website – which was another highlight as Peter our coach was superb. I would highly recommend everything about Melmerby Hall. Its a stunning property in a lovely part of the world.

A beautiful house, very comfortable, very well equipped, we weren’t lacking anything. Comfortable beds, lots of space for our party. The kitchen table was big enough for us all to sit down together. Beautiful area with lots of nice walks nearby.

Awesome place to stay. Great for a long weekend get together with friends/family.

I have just returned from an amazing three night stay at Melmerby Hall and Stag Cottage. A vast accommodation with large kitchen and breakfast area, several sitting rooms, multiple bedrooms with ensuite/shared bathrooms with a mix of single and double beds. Would be a stunning venue for weddings or functions and hope to be back in the future.
