Perfectly placed for the northern lakes, good local pubs and great views. We were greeted with a very generous welcome basket, comfortable bedrooms and a large supply of logs. There is detailed local information including walks, maps and Wainwright books, also TA and games for rainy days and a very well equipped kitchen. Our dogs were safe in the enclosed garden and well supplied with bags and a separate bin!

A lovely, lovely house. Wonderful time had by all. First class accommodation.

Brilliant venue for a family get-together.

What a lovely stay we had in this beautiful cottage in stunning surroundings! The welcome pack was gratefully received and there is nothing you could do to improve our time here. We were recommended a couple of local eateries; the beer was good! We hope to return – thank you.

This is my fifth visit to Glassonby, previously stayed in Elk Cottage. We needed peace and seclusion which we certainly found in this wonderful Croft. Husband also insists on a further return, in fact already booked into Elk (daughter included!) for 1st March. Looking forward to it already. Everything perfect, as always. Thank you.

Another great stay in one of the Rowley Estates cottages. The views are beautiful. We have enjoyed celebrating my partners birthday this weekend and it was a lovely touch from the Rowley team to leave a birthday card and a cake! Thank you for providing beautifully decorated, well equipped places to stay. We will be back!

An absolutely awesome weekend in a fabulous place which we all loved.

What a fantastic place to spend our New Years Eve week., really superb. We have stayed in many rental accommodations in the Lake District but this is by far the most outstanding. The attention to detail, the welcome packs, the unberleaverbly well stocked kitchens and beautiful bedding.  

We have had the most amazing time making wonderful memories with our lovely families. We will without doubt return here. 

Blencowe Hall is beautiful. The property has been brilliantly refurbished and made for a brilliant and special Christmas for our family. There is ample space and the bedrooms are all a good size – most are en-suite. The South Tower bedrooms in particular are really nice. We would definitely stay at Blencowe Hall again, and would 100% recommend it for parties, events, family vacations etc. It would be particularly nice in the summer to be able to open the external doors in the South Tower out into the gardens. Blencowe Hall is only 10 minutes from the M6 but in a really peaceful and quiet location. There are some nice walks to be had and plenty of wildlife. There is a nice local pub around a 20 minute walk away in Greystoke. A special thank you to Christine who was really helpful during the booking process, the run up to our stay and during our stay. Even over the Christmas period she was always on hand to answer any questions or help in any way.

Glassonby Hall was booked for my birthday and Christmas. The Hall was everything and more we could have wished for. Great attention to detail and a welcome hamper to die for! The Hall was beautifully decorated for Christmas. The immense great hall was a perfect location for Christmas Dinner and the birthday party. The surprise billiard table was a bonus! What stands out for The Rowley Estate property was the fact that we wanted for nothing. The kitchen was exceptionally well stocked well with quality cutlery and dinnerware. Pots and pans were more than able to cope with catering for 12. Bed linen was Egyptian cotton and toiletries were Molten Brown. The supply of logs and kindling was endless. Hot water ran constantly and we had WiFi!!! It felt more like staying in a luxury hotel than a self catering house! We would definitely book again for a special occasion – The large hall for a wedding would be fantastic 😊
