Hause Hall is a very special place: amazing views, wonderful walks from the farm and really generously and thoughtfully equipped. Our families had the best time and the owner could not have been more helpful with information and advice. Highly recommended!

We loved our stay at the oak retreat! Christine had the kitchen stocked with coffee, tea, milk, apple juice, eggs, granola, bread, butter and delicious jam. The oak retreat had all the cookware needed to make any meal. The trails we went on were not too far. Taking a nap with the doors open after felt luxurious with the pasture views. Overall perfect place for the type of holiday we wanted. Highly recommend!

A really lovely place to stay, Incredible views of the wonderful surroundings and only a short drive to some of the Lake District’s popular spots.

Absolutely gorgeous, definitely has the wow factor, we had a couple of small problems but contacted the staff and they had people out to fix them in no time at all. Would definitely like to go back there again.

A wonderful home from home for a group of us to get away and spend quality time together in a quality setting. We enjoyed the countryside with a circular 7 mile walk including a pub lunch – all with maps and loads of suggestions of what to do ready for us which was so helpful. The welcome basket is the best I’ve ever experienced – generous and full of local treats and key supplies to keep us going. The bedrooms and bathrooms beautifully clean and sumptuous, with a very well stocked kitchen and logs for the fire. We literally could not have asked for anything more. I would heartily recommend Glassonby Hall.

We stayed at Hause Hall in October 2021 for five days for our elopement. We really wanted to make our wedding more than just the wedding day, a real experience for our children and friends and our stay surpassed all our expectations. We booked Hause Hall without viewing due to covid restrictions but it was clear that it provided everything we wanted from the website; secluded and intimate for our tiny wedding, just eight of us, cosy but full of natural light, with easy lake and fell access and of course infinite incredible backdrops for our photographs. When we were able to view Hause Hall in person a few months later, we were blown away and it made us even more excited for our day. Christine and Joanna were so helpful, nothing was ever too much trouble and they really let us shape the day we wanted, without the formulaic approach to weddings we see at venues week in, week out being wedding photographers ourselves. The accommodation is outstanding, the kitchen is well stocked and the welcome hamper is such a lovely treat! Joanna popped in for a final planning meeting the day before the wedding, having chatted things over on the phone in the run up to the wedding and on the day Joanna was everything we needed her to be, really helpful but unobtrusive. I’d recommend Hause Hall to anyone planning an intimate wedding in the Lake District because I truly believe it’s such a special place that offers you everything your could want for your day – and so much more!

One of my favourite places anywhere. Isolated, yet luxurious and comfortable. Beautifully set up, incredible welcome and support, a truly first class experience. Ideal for get always, family events, parties or for groups needing a base for exploring the surrounding Lake District. I agree with the reviewer stating that Hause Hall Farm and Cruick Barn are ‘a slice of Heaven on Earth’. Whatever the weather I could look at, and walk over, the fells viewed from it forever. Thanks to all at the Rowley Estates team for such finesse and hospitality.
