Had a great time , great location nice and private and a great base to explore the Lake District, the shepherds hut was delightful and the welcome pack was excellent.

Amazing stay! Christine was so helpful, giving us all the information we’d need to check in. The hut has everything we needed and was in a lovely area. We will definitely be returning in summer!

We had a terrific stay at Elm retreat! The location was amazingly peaceful and was in a great location for hiking within a short car ride. Thank you for a lovely weekend away!

Beautiful shepherds hut, in private woodland. Very clean and tidy, with stream running behind and ideal for hiking around the Lake District . Will visit again and would 100% recommend.

Absolutely loved our stay at elm retreat so peaceful and tranquil. lovely personal touches to greet us ,bread and homemade jam and a welcome note scenery is picturesque and everyone one we met on our walks was so friendly and welcoming

Lovely shepherds hut , really enjoyed my stay.

My partner and I had a wonderful week’s stay at the Elm Retreat. We were welcomed with a lovely bundle of treats and a welcome card upon arrival, as well as a folder with lots of useful information about the cabin, including access to WiFi as well as things to do in the local area. The cabin was beautifully clean and comfortable and we were provided with everything we could have needed whilst staying there. Although we were staying in February when the weather was a bit cooler, the cabin was toasty warm. On the one (and rare) occasion that the the solar panel battery died- which meant we had no heating or lighting, we messaged Christine, and within half an hour the battery had been replaced and everything was up and running again- despite it being dark and later in the evening! Overall, it was just the most wonderful and peaceful stay and we are already planning a return trip in spring! Would absolutely recommend!
