What a magical place and a fantastic house – many thanks for making our first visit to the Lakes so special – we are only sad we aren’t staying longer – we will be back.

The 5th time for us this year and as ever, a very enjoyable occasion. It really is a great house, a great location and once more it gave us a great weekend. Already looking forward to the 6th. Hopefully it will round in the blink of an eye!

Another great stay in one of the Rowley Estates cottages. The views are beautiful. We have enjoyed celebrating my partners birthday this weekend and it was a lovely touch from the Rowley team to leave a birthday card and a cake! Thank you for providing beautifully decorated, well equipped places to stay. We will be back!

Another lovely week in the fantastic Hause Hall! Great walks, evenings in playing games was cosy! Absolutely stunning views all round and a breathtaking place to be. We fell in love with this place from day one! Thanks.

‘I just want to say a great big thank you for our lovely stay at Hause Hall Farm, Cruik Barn and Stables. All our guests loved their stay and were very excited, when they got there, at the beautiful setting, their rooms and and the views. Our time there was perfect from start to finish. We loved the lovely warm rooms, cloud like beds and bedding, and spotless bathrooms. We made good use of the thoughtfully planned and exceptionally well equipped kitchen and dining room. My mam and dad were very comfortable in their downstairs bedroom with the specialist equipment you made available. Your generous welcome basket of provisions and food basics was much appreciated. It was great not to have to bring basics like washing up liquid, t-towels, kitchen roll, dishwasher tablets etc with us. Providing t-lights and holders was a lovely touch. The piece de resistance was the day lounge with that utterly captivating view. We all had endless pleasure watching the view appear, disappear then reappear through the mist and clouds. We were entranced by the changing colours of the hillside and sky when the sun came out. We appreciated the magic of the endless stars, planets and milky way when we had clear nights. It is so great that you don’t actually have to go out of the house to appreciate the fantastic scenery you are in. We found the situation of the farm glorious and enjoyed the 15 minute walk down to the lake, Hotel snug and cafe and the pier for taking the steamer to Pooley Bridge too.’

We had a wonderful week at Hause Hall, Cruik Barn and the Stables with a family gathering of 14 and one dog. Booking was easy and the communications excellent. Arriving at the property we were treated to stunning views of the Martindale and Boredale valleys from the elevated position of the house. Fresh bread, eggs, biscuits and an enormous bowl of fresh fruit greeted us inside in the beautifully appointed main house. The kitchen, with its aga was fully equipped with all that was needed to cater for a small army, the enormous dining table seated the entire family and the wonderful conservatory was just perfect to watch the sunset over the hills behind Ullswater. All the bedrooms are beautifully decorated, the beds comfy and the whole place spotlessly clean. It is an ideal location to set out on numerous good quality walks without the need to get into a car. We cycled, swam in the lake and walked the fells. This is a wonderful place to stay, our week went by too quickly so we have booked again for next year.

We were a large party aged from 3 to 70. The venue and surroundings met our needs perfectly. The three buildings were spacious, warm and comfortable. Communications in advance of the stay were highly satisfactory. We all share very positive memories of the visit.

This house couldn’t have been any better ! Lovely setting with amazing views and wonderful walking straight from the door. Lovely cosy sitting area with wood fire for cold days and a beautiful sun room with views and easy access to a patio and garden for warmer days. Well equipped throughout with every little detail attended to and beautifully furnished. Great kitchen for self-catering and lovely pub/hotel within walking distance. Easy access to the Ullswater ferries. Friendly helpful manager and spotlessly clean. Delicious “welcome hamper” too. I would highly recommend this farmhouse, stables and barn as for our party of 17 walking friends it was just perfect !

Thank you so much for making our wedding at Hause Hall Farm so  special.   We have just enjoyed 3 fabulous days in the most idyllic surroundings.  The weather could not have been kinder and the house was amazing, as always.   Joanna, your help before the day and support on the day was fantastic.  You were kind, warm and genuine and made our day  even more special.

Also, thank you for the wooden chopping board which  we will treasure.
