This is just a quick email to say a massive thanks for the lovely stay we had at Rowan Retreat last week Thursday and Friday. Everything from the location to the absolutely stunning little hut and the delicious local produce that was provided was amazing. We could not fault a single thing and it made our stay super nice and relaxing. We will most definitelybe back.

It truly was a little piece of heaven. Myself and my husband are both support workers. My husband NHS mental health services and I’m in complex health needs.
It been a real challenge during covid but to relax here was like a different world.

Beautiful place! It’s small but has everything you need (if you can live without hair straighteners for a few days, I just about managed!) and is beautifully furnished and clean. The riverbank location is stunning, we sat round the fire pit every night and saw hares and a deer and all kinds of birds – it’s so quiet and relaxing. The booking and check in was completely hassle free and I was delighted with the welcome pack and the personal touch of a birthday card. It’s a short drive to the bottom of the Blencathra hike, handy for Penrith and Keswick, and the pub in the village is really nice too.

Just wanted to say thank you for letting us stay at Rowans Retreat we had a wonderful time you should be very proud of your accommodation it was 1st class and the quiet spot by the river perfect your communications and standards are a benchmark for other operators of holiday lets to aspire to, we are looking now when we can come back.

A really lovely place to stay, Incredible views of the wonderful surroundings and only a short drive to some of the Lake District’s popular spots.
