We really enjoyed staying in the Rowan shepherd’s hut, the surrounding countryside was beautiful and the area was very peaceful. Christine was extremely helpful and sent detailed instructions and local recommendations. We used the recommended walks from their website and had some lovely days walking! The hut was well organised, beautifully decorated and had everything we needed to cook for ourselves. It was so cosy that we didn’t mind the days that it rained!

Spent the Easter weekend here with my partner. lovely Sheppard’s hut. Had all the amenities you could need, from cooking utensils to towels etc. Reasonably priced, a very polite host and well presented hut. Would definitely recommend to anyone who wants a private getaway. Located next to a stream, saw some lovely wildlife. Provided with fire wood and some lovely local produce like jam, eggs, tea, milk and local apple juice that was stunning. Will definitely visit again.

This retreat was incredible. Very secluded and peaceful, with brilliant amenities. Christine is a lovely host, very responsive to any questions that I had throughout the stay. Such a beautiful shepherds hut, definitely will visit again.

A cosy shepherds hut was very tranquil and peaceful. The shepherds hut had everything you needed as well being super private and wholesome. The shepherds is set in a really nice location in a very quiet setting. It’s close enough to Keswick & Penrith with nice pubs near by. The river in the background was an added bonus to listen to!

Fantastic cabin for a weekend stay, very peaceful and cut off from the world. Very cosy and has everything you could need! Plenty to do nearby within driving distance. Will definitely rebook in the summer!

We had a brilliant stay at rowan retreat. Peaceful and beautiful views . Christine was a lovely host always responding quickly , we appreciated the recommendation of pubs and walks around the area and lovely breakfast foods. Fire pit was great ! Great place to stay for exploring the lakes and hiking places . Would recommend and will come stay again definitely!

What a luxurious cabin! Such a tranquil setting, with zero light pollution and the only sound being the babbling brook below. It was the perfect place to spend a quiet evening, and the welcome hamper treats were appreciated!
