We very much enjoyed our stay at the Rowan Retreat. The accommodation was spotless and we‘ve never stayed at a place that was so thoughtfully stocked. The breakfast items were local and high-quality. Christine was very friendly and provided helpful and detailed information prior to our arrival. I‘d definitely recommend staying here.

Just had an absolutely fantastic stay at Rowan Retreat, we were there for a whole week. The little shepherds hut had everything you would need for a stay. Waking up to that view every morning was like having a little slice of heaven, just for us. Christine couldn’t have been more helpful beforehand with various emails about what to expect and about the area, not that we strayed very far. We will definitely be back soon. Thank you!

Lovely scenic surroundings and private location

we have just got back from 3 nights at Rowan Retreat and like a few other reviews, or only regret is not staying longer! the breakfast hamper on arrival was enjoyed, the location was picturesque and the hut itself was perfect. everything has been thought of! we will be back

Gorgeous place, safe parking, lovely welcome gift from our host and beautiful surroundings

A lovely off grid stay near Penrith, felt like we had our own space in nature. The shepherds hut had everything we needed to feel comfortable and the local tea/coffee and homemade jam on arrival was the extra mile. Would definitely recommend and go again!

Loved staying at Rowan Retreat, didn’t want to leave!

We thoroughly enjoyed are stay at the shepherds hut ,it was lovely and peaceful with Bread and Milk and butter ready in the fridge .
