Could not recommend Christine’s place enough, especially for a romantic couples getaway. The Shepard’s Hut was easy to find thanks to Christine’s clear instructions. The bread, milk, eggs & apple juice left for us were an extra special touch & the jam was absolutely delicious. We had the most wonderful experience, spending the evenings around the fire pit & making dinner on the barbecue. There are plently of places to sit outside & inside is especially cozy & welcoming. We did not want to leave & already cannot wait to return. Thank you so much for a gorgeous stay, it was the perfect place to spend my girlfriend’s birthday 🎁

I went here back in 2022, but its the one mini break I always think about.
The shepards hut we stayed in was beautiful, secluded and comfortable. And ontop of all that is eco friendly, using solar power.
At night you can look up and see the stars and constellations, its beautiful and peaceful.
We arrived to a well stocked welcome hamper and welcome card.
If you and your partner are looking for a countryside escape where no one will or can bother you then this is your place.

We love this place .. it is our second time and was as special as the first one ! The hut is perfect with all you need and impeccable! Thanks for our complementary goodies.. everything was delish !!

Beautiful and peaceful location, within easy reach of amenities and beautiful walks. Lovely seating area with sounds of the stream, perfect relaxing and private stay. Had the most lovely time! Thank you!!

We had a lovely few days at Rowan Retreat. It was very clean and so peaceful. We lit the firepit and sat eating our food at night whilst listening to the river. Would highly recommend this place as a couple. It is out of the way of the other huts and buildings and just a lovely spot. The homemade jam and bread, plus milk and eggs left in the fridge were an added bonus.

Perfect slice of serenity .. couldn’t recommend more to stay here if you want to treat yourself .. this was our second time and was as perfect a the first time 5 years ago !!

What a lovely stay! The cabin was spacious and clean. Everything we needed they provided , the added touches of the food and bathroom products were very much appreciated. We couldn’t fault and have recommended to all family and friends! Thank you so much.

We absolutely loved our stay and would choose to book here again! The shepherds hut was so quiet and peaceful and Christine was extremely helpful when we ran out of wood for the fire.

Don’t often leave reviews, however we were taken back by how peaceful, cosy, clean and at home we felt during our stay. We had 1 query during our stay and Christine answered right away. Highly recommend
