Beautiful and peaceful location, within easy reach of amenities and beautiful walks. Lovely seating area with sounds of the stream, perfect relaxing and private stay. Had the most lovely time! Thank you!!

We had a lovely few days at Rowan Retreat. It was very clean and so peaceful. We lit the firepit and sat eating our food at night whilst listening to the river. Would highly recommend this place as a couple. It is out of the way of the other huts and buildings and just a lovely spot. The homemade jam and bread, plus milk and eggs left in the fridge were an added bonus.

Perfect slice of serenity .. couldn’t recommend more to stay here if you want to treat yourself .. this was our second time and was as perfect a the first time 5 years ago !!

What a lovely stay! The cabin was spacious and clean. Everything we needed they provided , the added touches of the food and bathroom products were very much appreciated. We couldn’t fault and have recommended to all family and friends! Thank you so much.

We absolutely loved our stay and would choose to book here again! The shepherds hut was so quiet and peaceful and Christine was extremely helpful when we ran out of wood for the fire.

Don’t often leave reviews, however we were taken back by how peaceful, cosy, clean and at home we felt during our stay. We had 1 query during our stay and Christine answered right away. Highly recommend

This was such an incredibly beautiful place to stay ! Could not fault a thing. We booked this place for our 1st wedding anniversary and in no way did it disappoint. It was everything we were after and more. Lovely quiet location with the peaceful sound of the stream and birds (and the occasional sheep) The place was super comfortable and clean. Great recommendation of places to visit even though we did some hikes a little further out. We were also welcomed with some delicious local essentials. Christine is also very responsive and informative. 10/10 highly recommend !

We had a lovely stay at the Shepards hut. Christine was great prior to the visit giving lots of clear information regarding the stay and insights into the local area. On arrival there were lots of local food/drinks left for us to try which was a lovely touch. It was a great place to get away and switch off with lovely surroundings. Would definitely recommend!
