Amazing retreat! Super peaceful and we had the best time! Thank you to Christine for the little touches, recommendations and the wonderful shepherds hut experience!

This was such an incredibly beautiful place to stay ! Could not fault a thing. We booked this place for our 1st wedding anniversary and in no way did it disappoint. It was everything we were after and more. Lovely quiet location with the peaceful sound of the stream and birds (and the occasional sheep) The place was super comfortable and clean. Great recommendation of places to visit even though we did some hikes a little further out. We were also welcomed with some delicious local essentials. Christine is also very responsive and informative. 10/10 highly recommend !

We had a lovely stay at the Shepards hut. Christine was great prior to the visit giving lots of clear information regarding the stay and insights into the local area. On arrival there were lots of local food/drinks left for us to try which was a lovely touch. It was a great place to get away and switch off with lovely surroundings. Would definitely recommend!

The owner was fantastic throughout and provided detailed instructions on how to find it, kept in regular contact up to and throughout the visit to make it even better. Absolute 10/10 service. The shepherds hit itself was pristinely clean, with an amazing location and well stocked – even supplying essentials!

We had an absolutely lovely time at the rowan retreat, it was such a lovely privet cabin with all we could need, we had some local treats upon our arrival which were completely unexpected but a super touch. Christine communicated clearly with us if there were any issues and sent over recommendations of what to do in the area which was helpful. could not recommend booking here enough. Thank you!!

The Cabin is amazing and a great location just by the river. Perfect place to relax

We had an amazing stay at the accomodation. We were greeted by a lovely welcome pack and felt at home straight away. We would highly recommend this accomodation. Put simply……stunning.

I booked a weekend away at the Rowan Retreat as surprise birthday treat for my girlfriend. Safe to say, she absolutely loved it! We loved the privacy, the tranquility and all the nice little touches in and around the shepherds hut. Christine ensured we had all the niceties we could ask for (local fresh bread, eggs, coffee, juice, toiletries etc). This shepherds hut is an absolute must for those visiting the Lake District at only around 20 mins away from Ullswater and plenty of other nice spots. 10/10 recommend!
