We had a fantastic stay. The house was spotless, beautifully maintained, and incredibly peaceful. The perfect place to relax and unwind. The location was ideal, with everything we needed close by while still feeling quiet and private. Christine was excellent – friendly, responsive, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our stay. You can really tell she cares about creating a great experience for guests. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a clean, comfortable, and tranquil stay in a great location. We would definitely come back!

Absolutely loved my stay at Larch Retreat!! Very peacefully environment, with good amenities! Lots to do nearby!! Climbed Grisdale Pike and Skiddaw, went mountain biking round Whinlatter Forest and even stayed in and baked some bread too! Would definitely recommend and book again!!

What a wonderful place to gather family and friends for a birthday celebration. Everyone loved their bedroom, gathering for cocktails in the Solar before enjoying meals in the beautiful dining room and trying to beat the youngsters at pool or billiards. When the weather allowed we explored the local countryside and when it didn’t, we were able to visit local pubs and towns. Blencowe Hall had everything we needed and more – even for the most discerning of cooks amongst us. We’ll definitely visit a Rowley Estates property again!

Kirkbride Hall did not disappoint. Rowley Estates always provide a very high standard of accommodation and think of everything you may need to enjoy your stay. The house is clean warm and cosy with lots of light and a beautiful secure walled rear garden with ample on site parking. The house sits at the end of a lane next to the church which was very pretty inside and out.  Melmerby Hall and grounds sits behind the high walls of the garden which is another fine Rowley estate property to be rented. The Village bakery a few minutes stroll away has a popular cafe with excellent food. The Shepherds Inn pub a few minutes walk does a grand Sunday Lunch. Me and my family were celebrating my mum’s 87th birthday  with baby 15 months and a doggy. The house suited us all relaxing watching the rugby cooking eating drinking and playing games. The pennine ridge is part of the view from the front of the house and looked beautiful in the spring sunshine. A wonderful peaceful retreat.

Such a lovely space to stay! When we got there there was such lovely local produce out for us and the place was just perfect. We went in February so made good use of the log burner and was just the perfect get away! Christine was very helpful and friendly with lots of local recommendations and easy to reach if needed! Couldn’t recommend more!

Amazing barn conversion, done to the highest standard. High quality, generous and delicious welcome pack. Host was incredibly helpful and extremely responsive. Overall, a beautiful place to stay, would highly recommend.

I booked this Airbnb for my Boyfriends birthday and we had a very wonderful time in Maple Retreat. The location was so relaxing. We are coming from London and this Maple Retreat was really a escape from the city life. Thank you so much Christine and the team for the stay and the hospitality you guys provided was so great. They also provided with the breakfast hamper which was the best. I had to ask for another bottle of Jam from Christine because it was so yummy. And I really appreciate the effort of giving us another bottle of homemade jam. I would really suggest this Maple Retreat to everyone and we hope we can visit again Maple Retreat in future.
