The place was perfect for a few nights stay in a peaceful location. To top it off the food and drink gifted were greatly appreciated. The multiple seating areas and the fire pit were a nice touch to sit and relax (especially with the sound of the river). We got lucky with the weather so sitting outside wasn’t a problem for us however seating inside is slightly limited, but the space used in the cabin is well thought.

What a spectacular place! Couldn’t have hoped for a better location to bring a big group of friends. We really enjoyed our stay, our dinners on the terrace, cooking in a well stocked kitchen and the amazing quiet surroundings of the Fells. A really wonderful place to stay with a large group

I stayed at Blencowe Hall for a wedding and honestly, it’s one of the most stunning places I’ve ever visited. The mix of history and comfort is unreal the famous crack in the stonework and the views make it feel like you’re living inside a storybook.The rooms were spotless and full of character, and even the living‑room couches were ridiculously comfy.
It’s just a short drive from Penrith and Pooley Bridge, so you’re right on the edge of the Lake District with loads to explore.

We stayed for four nights and it was truly incredible. Even with a big group, the place is so spacious that it never once felt like we were on top of each other. The bathrooms were also amazing modern, clean, and surprisingly luxurious for such a historic building. If you’re looking for somewhere that’s both historic and homely, Blencowe Hall is absolutely worth it for family gatherings, special occasions, or a memorable getaway.

We had a great stay at Wythburn Cottage, beautiful location and property, with everything we could need. The cottage and The Rowley Estate are full of character and history and are presented wonderfully. The welcome pack was pure quality and with Penrith only a few miles away it offers everything you need. As a base for exploring the Lakes it was superb and the surrounding villages with their pubs and food gave us all that was needed. Thank you for such a marvellous property and allowing us to enjoy it for a few special days.

The place was amazing and very clean , we enjoyed staying in the hut . The vibe is very cozy and breathtaking which makes it very suitable for couples who love to have a cozy experience in the woods. In the evening the sunset is very pleasant and beautiful. Christine is very responsive and helpful. The hospitality was excellent and the bedding was clean as well. We had a very pleasant time for one week in your hut, thank you very much for everything and we highly recommend this beautiful place for those who would like to have an experience in the woods.

We had a lovely stay at the hut. Everything was clearly explained and the place was very clean. The WiFi worked well and seemed a good speed and everything we needed was there.
Firewood was provided along with a welcome food basket.
We had a car and got around the Lakes fairly easily. Ullswater Lake is about a ten min drive away and I think that was probably one of the most beautiful of the lakes.

Had a really lovely stay here. The hut is a very well designed. Really nice waking up to animals around us. Was clean, private and the host was great.

Lovely little cabin great for somewhere to sleep and chill at night.

Definitely would recommend and would stay again

I and around 20 colleagues had the most wonderful weekend stay at Blencowe Hall at the beginning of June. The accommodation is second to none and every little detail has been thought of to ensure a stay in this most amazing Hall is perfect.

The bedrooms, social spaces and kitchen facilities were first class with the latter allowing cooking for 20+ people to be seamless! A special dinner in the stunning dining room on our final evening was the icing on the cake!

We were in the Lake District to do the Macmillan Mighty Hike around Ullswater and to have this level of luxury to come back to afterwards was just fabulous!

Me and my partner had a lovely few nights at the oak retreat. It is a lovely place to just switch off and watch sheep ! It is close all popular Lake District destinations and hikes. We will definitely be visiting again.
