We had the most wonderful stay and honestly couldn’t recommend it enough! Christine and the whole team were incredibly friendly, welcoming and helpful from start to finish. The place is absolutely beautiful inside and out, so peaceful and quiet, and waking up to the sheep in the morning was such a lovely touch. There are also gorgeous walks around the grounds.

The location is perfect – there’s a lovely little town just a 5-minute walk away with a bakery and pub, while larger food shops are only a 10-minute drive away, so you have everything you need nearby.

The cabin itself is beautifully decorated, incredibly cosy and was absolutely spotless. The bed was SO comfortable too – genuinely one of the best nights’ sleep we’ve had in ages! Such a gorgeous, peaceful escape. We were so sad to leave and will definitely be back. Thank you so much, Christine and team! xx

We had a few days away at Hause Hall with our friends and family to celebrate our wedding at our local registry office. We had our wedding portraits done in and around Hause Hall. The property was equipped with everything we needed to make 2 amazing dinners for our family. We had the most stunning view over Martindale and up towards the Nab. Christine and her team were super helpful and responsive when planning everything. They sent us helpful information about the area and additional extras for our stay. We booked a hot tub for our stay which was delivered and installed hassle free. Would highly recommend the property and the rowley estates for a wedding venue!

Very cosy, cleverly designed space! Will miss the gorgeous views and the sheep right outside! Perfect spot for a lovely few days away!

Rowan Retreat was simply perfect, there’s no other word for it!

I’ve just come back from 5 nights there, and cannot name a single thing that could be improved about it.
The location is amazing, so quiet and private, yet very easy to get to. It’s wonderfully kitted out – I’ve got used to bringing a few extra kitchen utensils and things from home to huts like this, yet didn’t need any of them here, as everything was provided.
I like to BBQ every day I’m there, and even that was an absolutely top quality item!

It’s lovely and comfy, there’s good storage which is always necessary in a small hut, and the recently installed WiFi was an excellent unexpected bonus.

I will definitely be back for my next stay in the Lakes 😃

I spent my 60th weekend at the outstandingly beautiful Cazenovia Hall, part of the Rowley Estates. Cazenovia is a wonderful building with attention to detail throughout. Such thoughtful touches such as the welcome hamper with wine, cheese, milk, bread, gingerbread. It’s the most equipped kitchen we have ever had whilst staying away.
This is our third visit in the Rowley Estates cottages. We keep coming back as it’s faultless. Thank you

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The combination of the accommodation being so cosy and homely whilst being secluded within the natural surroundings of the forest made our days here extremely relaxing. Christine was a great host who was very informative and quick to respond to our queries. I would highly recommend staying here and intend on returning in the future.

Really loved our stay. The property was lovely and dogs loved the large enclosed garden. Would definitely recommend as a great base for exploring Cumbria and the The Lakes.

The weather was cool during our visit,
But Christine our host made it clear that the shepherds hut has great insulation and it did, it was toasty.
Even double glazed windows.
A great little log burner that warmed the whole hut throughout.

We had such an amazing, peaceful and much-needed stay. Hawthorne Retreat was exactly the getaway we needed! Christine was so lovely and always quick to respond to any questions we had.
