Every Rowley place is the same – fabulously equipped, spotlessly clean, really well furnished and great facilities too. Christine and Charlie are masters at this – they run every property as if it is their own. We have now been to several and have always been super impressed. We had a great week with some uncharacteristically fine weather too. Thank you ‘Rowleys’ for a great week – again.

Elk Cottage was just lovely. Like all the Rowley cottages it was really well equipped and tastefully decorated. We had a lovely time and went on several walks and a visit to the Lakes. Our Collie Molly loved the cottage and enjoyed keeping the local cat at bay!

We had a family weekend to celebrate a big birthday. We all enjoyed our stay in a wonderfully atmospheric environment, with great facilities of high quality. The adjacent Jenny’s Croft provided the additional sleeping accommodation we needed, and was self-contained and to the same high standard.
We would highly recommend these premises for an enjoyable stay.

We have stayed at Rowley cottages many times and are always delighted at the high standard. Beautiful toiletries, fabulous bedding and a hamper to enjoy, filled with local produce. The Rowley family will respond quickly to any issues and give you ideas for day trips. I can only recommend these lovely cottages for a short break.

I have just spent 4 days at Elk Cottage and it has to be one of the best yet! Every attention to detail was taken care of, stunning welcome hamper full of everything you could need and much more. So many little things that just made our stay even better than expected. Christine was very welcoming and plenty of communication and information in advance. The cottage is spotless with everything well thought through. Dogs are very well catered for also. A wonderful experience – thank you

Lovely, comfortable cottage in stunning countryside. Touches like real bed linen and candles in the dining room added luxury and romance. Lots of local info supplied, which was very useful. Loads to see – local walks, castles, boat trips on Ullswater and sheep/dog demo which was amazing. A wonderful cottage to enjoy for itself and for its access to so many places to see and things to do. We may well return.

A lovely treat and home from home. For us a great location. The cottage comes with everything you need and some lovely touches that show how much care goes into making people feel special for their stay. The welcome hamper, logs, kindling, fire all made ready to use. We enjoyed lots of lovely walks and cosy evenings chatting and playing board games. A lovely long weekend – thank you

Can highly recommend Rowley Estates to anyone looking for a relaxing break in a beautiful setting. Our family (3 + dog) stayed in Elk Cottage and were thoroughly impressed. Extremely clean, well presented, cosy but with plenty of space. Bedrooms were spacious, fantastic fire and all the little touches were there. Close proximity to the northern Lakes and lovely pubs close by. Overall 10/10 and will definitely be back.
