If you’re staying in the Lake District, don’t hesitate to book this place.

The property is absolutely beautiful, with stunning gardens and plenty of privacy. Christine was a fantastic host, very informative, proactive, and communicative throughout our stay. When there was a local power outage, she let us know well in advance and kept us updated, which was greatly appreciated.

The welcome gift basket was a wonderful touch and gave us the opportunity to cook and enjoy some local food during our stay.

Everything exceeded our expectations. If we’re ever back in the area, this will be our first choice without question.

A magical weekend at Kirkbride Hall, introducing our friends to this special place. The house is wonderful and well equipped, the surrounding area is beautiful, the bakery/deli and the pub provide friendly service and delicious food/drinks. We highly recommend the catering services of Lynn Hilditch who cooked us a very special & memorable dinner, a real treat. Rowley Estates take their role in the community very seriously and go the extra mile for their customers.

Our second stay at Kirkbride Hall. It was brilliant. A relaxing home from home for our family and dog. The living room and bedrooms are so comfortable. Fab bathrooms and well equipped kitchen. The toiletries are lovely and we were so chuffed with the welcome hamper! We will be back for sure.

Kirkbride Hall did not disappoint. Rowley Estates always provide a very high standard of accommodation and think of everything you may need to enjoy your stay. The house is clean warm and cosy with lots of light and a beautiful secure walled rear garden with ample on site parking. The house sits at the end of a lane next to the church which was very pretty inside and out.  Melmerby Hall and grounds sits behind the high walls of the garden which is another fine Rowley estate property to be rented. The Village bakery a few minutes stroll away has a popular cafe with excellent food. The Shepherds Inn pub a few minutes walk does a grand Sunday Lunch. Me and my family were celebrating my mum’s 87th birthday  with baby 15 months and a doggy. The house suited us all relaxing watching the rugby cooking eating drinking and playing games. The pennine ridge is part of the view from the front of the house and looked beautiful in the spring sunshine. A wonderful peaceful retreat.

We had such an amazing stay at Kirkbride Hall we ended up extending by an extra 2 nights as we didn’t want to leave!
The property was clean, well equipped and perfect for a relaxing break.
Our 2 labradors absolutely loved the garden and the access to the woodland walk, and our teenagers made good use of the pool table.

This is the second Rowley Estates property we have stayed at and both have been wonderful. Christine and the team are helpful, responsive and make the whole booking/check in and check out process very straight forward.

I would highly recommend – we will be endeavouring to try more of these beautiful holiday homes over the coming years.

The whole family loved staying here. It immediately felt like home, Christine thinks of everything you could imagine to make your stay perfect. We had the most magical Christmas. The house was so comfortable and we had lots of lovely country walks .

Fantastic stay, great house

Everything about Kirkbride Hall was superb. The furniture and fittings were high quality throughout the property which was a nice change from the typical low quality you often get in holiday lets.
The welcome hamper was outstanding.
Spotlessly clean.
Great place to stay if you have dogs as the garden is enclosed and their private woodland is adjacent to the property.
Nice village pub serving very nice food and good cask beer.

Beautiful house and location, high quality furnishings and fittings which makes it feel homely instead of a typical holiday let. Best fully equipped kitchen you could ask for, the welcome basket was like something from Fortnum and Mason and a wonderful surprise. The garden is enclosed for dogs and their private woodland adjacent to the property was fantastic for the dogs to explore, it was fenced on the perimeter which ensured they never went near neighbouring sheep. Nice local pub, great Sunday lunch but make sure you book. The village bakery and cafe looked nice but the pub won our custom. We visited in December so did not use the garden furniture or bbq equipment which looked good quality, we did however use the wood provided for the log burner in the lounge which was lovely. We would love to return to this or any of their other properties in the area.

Lovely cottage and well stocked kitchen. Really good communication from the host, who was very helpful. Bed was super comfy and the house was warm. We would stay again.
