Absolutely amazing place to stay ! Super host and the best spot to visit Lake District

Have just spent a lovely weekend at Kirkbride Hall for a family get together. The house is beautiful & very well maintained having everything you could possibly need. The welcome basket was amazing, don’t think I have ever had one with so many goodies.
Melmerby village is full of history & the surrounding area is so pretty. Everyone was so friendly. Lots of walks direct from the house. The village bakery cafe just 10 minutes down the road is a must to visit.
Would highly recommend.

Lovely house in a lovely area

Beautiful place and surroundings in a lovely village setting. Very well equipped, with added extras you don’t normally expect/receive eg hamper, toiletries, kitchen roll, toilet roll, cloths, and condiments and logs for the fire. Loved the secret garden. X

Kirkbride Hall is a truly special place – we absolutely loved our weekend away here. The place itself is absolutely stunning and maintained to a really high standard. For self-catering accommodating it is incredibly well appointed and the welcome basket upon arrival was a lovely touch. This was an absolutely perfect setting for a family meet up – such a sociable and cosy space. We were so sad to leave! Whilst we came across Kirkbride Hall fairly randomly, it turned out to be an absolute gem of a find and we absolutely will be back again. Many thanks for a fabulous stay!

Perfect place for our family to get together. The pics and description do not do it justice, Christine’s place is exceptional. It’s all the thoughtful extras that make it stand out. The gorgeous welcome pack with local delights, games , books and even a dog towel for our muddy Border terrier. We had the best time.

Had a lovely weekend Kirkbride Hall with friends!

The area is stunning, excellent for hiking, walks and disconnecting, and the house is perfect for getting a gang together for a stay away in such a beautiful area.

The rooms were just so comfy (we found the beds were almost impossible to leave in the mornings) and the bathrooms had everything you could want.

Kirkbride Hall was excellent for a gang of friends, but would be great for families and groups with dogs as well. Looking forward to maybe bringing a pup next time!

Spent a fantastic week up in Kirkbride with the whole family and the dogs. Plenty of space, wonderfully warm, charming setting and a great garden for the dogs to run about in. So recharging with all the fresh air and amazing to look up at the fell as you stroll to the pub. We’ll be back soon!

We had a fantastic time at Kirkbride. It was warm, cosy and suited our needs perfectly. Melmerby village is idyllic and the village bakery a real gem. Would recommend 🙂

Our family spent Christmas at the lovely Kirkbride Hall and we all had an absolutely brilliant time. Christine had decorated the house with a tree, wreathe and lots of little details to make it really special for our arrival. There was a generous hamper waiting for us in the kitchen which was much appreciated after a long journey. Everything in the house was of the highest quality, the house was very well stocked and we thoroughly enjoyed playing pool and sitting by the roaring fire.
The gardens/grounds of the property were great and we were able to let all of the dogs off in the garden without any concerns of them escaping.
All in all we had a fabulous time and definitely look forward to returning again in the near future.
