Wow wow wow. This was the most amazing air bnb we’ve stayed at. The location was idyllic with lots of lovely local walks. The accommodation itself was just perfect. Everything was kitted out well and it genuinely felt like a home away from home. Christine was incredibly responsive and was really proactive in providing up front recommendations of local attractions and things to visit during our stay. I would really recommend this place to stay and we will definitely be coming back.

Kirkbride Hall was a magical place to stay! On a beautiful estate just outside of a small village (with an excellent pub and cafe), it’s bordered by church and woodlands that provide such a peaceful setting. The house itself is amazing, thoughtfully designed with everything you need. You can set out from the house on foot for some great walks, or are within a short drive of great hiking, climbing and everything the Lakes has to offer. Christine was so responsive throughout and provided high chairs, travel cots and an extremely generous welcome hamper – nothing seemed too much. The garden of the house is so serene, bordered by these majestic stone walls with the golden hour catching the row of trees on the lawn and a back gate leading straight into the woods behind. A truly magical place.

Superb accommodation and a great place to use as a base. Very comfortable and well looked after by the hosts.

This was not my first visit to the Rowley Estates properties but it was our first visit to Kirkbride Hall and like every other property this one did not disappoint at all.
We were a family of 8 of various ages from 5 to 75.
The house itself is certainly big enough for you to socialize all together without feeling on top of each other.
The kitchen has every dish, cups, pots, pans and utensils you could ever want.
We were very lucky to hit on a long weekend when the sun shone because the garden is just perfect. Big and very private.

As a regular visitor to the Rowley Estates one of my favorite things is the hamper you receive. Its is filled with the most amazing goodies. Far better than any other gift hamper from other companies.

Kirkbride Hall is an absolute recommendation! The house is large, beautifully decorated and the kitchen better equipped than our home! Beds at their finest! And the garden invites you to linger!

Wanted to have a movie night for the kids in the evening and needed an HDMI cable, was provided in no time! Simply great service!

I could write pages about Kirkbride Hall. It was absolutely fantastic with lots of space for 8 adults and 3 dogs . We felt totally at home in such a peaceful and beautiful setting. The amazing hamper was fantastic even going over and above to let us have more of the delicious jam. Nothing was too much trouble , we felt very looked after. The whole house was immaculate and a large gardens for the dogs to run around. All the information provided was spot on and really helpful Very very comfy beds and the bathrooms were fantastic. I can’t say enough about the location and the house and would 100% recommend as the most perfect base for travelling around the Lake District. We were fortunate to have some beautiful weather to fully appreciate the surroundings and to have a bbq The locals were so friendly towards us even helping with providing a light to walk back from the lovely Shepherds Inn which I would recommend as the food is amazing and a great atmosphere. Absolutely amazing place to stay ! Super host and the best spot to visit Lake District

Have just spent a lovely weekend at Kirkbride Hall for a family get together. The house is beautiful & very well maintained having everything you could possibly need. The welcome basket was amazing, don’t think I have ever had one with so many goodies.
Melmerby village is full of history & the surrounding area is so pretty. Everyone was so friendly. Lots of walks direct from the house. The village bakery cafe just 10 minutes down the road is a must to visit.
Would highly recommend.
