Had a short but fabulous stay at Kirkbride Hall. It was the perfect setting for a family gathering. The house is very comfortable and tastefully decorated. we loved the nice touches like a delicious welcome hamper, the very nice toiletries and the dog towel and bowls. We spent a lot of time playing pool on the converted dining table. The house was very warm and it was nice to have a real fire on too. Christine was excellent with her communication and sent some excellent links for local information. It was hard to find fault with any aspect of the house or contents. There are some excellent walks straight from the house and handily placed for a trip into the Northern Lakes. We hope we will be able to return some time in the future.

A lovely house, very well equip, perfect location in Melmerby near a village pub, cafe and bakery, great for lovely walks from the house. Lovely log fire and very comfy beds, nice bathrooms with all necessities, we had a lovely weekend for my 50th, we’ve visited Kirkbride Hall and Melmerby Hall a number of times, we love it, a great relaxing get away.
Hamper also great for arrival.

Family Christmas. Ideal location, beautiful house, warm and cosy. Well equipped and furnished. Excellent information pack provided on everything on the house, surrounding area including walks. No hesitation in recommending.

A lovely cottage in a quiet village setting. Plentiful space for a family and a great rear garden to play in for the kids. A beautiful hamper was awaiting us on our arrival – which was consumed greatly over the week ! Thank you for the team for making it a lovely , relaxing and peaceful stay. Lovely walks all within reach and a bakery and pub nearby.

Fantastic stay at Kirkbride Hall, booking, communication and instructions all excellent. Welcome basket when we arrived was amazing and everything was thought of to make our stay extremely relaxing and enjoyable. Definitely check out the village bakery and pub!, Would highly recommend staying at Kirkbride Hall 😊

We have just had a really brilliant few days at Kirkbride Hall, every aspect of it was fabulous. The welcome, the communication, the hamper, the facilities, the house, the garden, the beds, the attitude towards guests, all wonderful and we highly recommend Kirkbride Hall.

We had a fantastic stay at Kirkbride Hall. The accommodation is wonderful. Everything is very high quality, with thoughtful touches such as the welcome hamper and the useful folders with lots of helpful information. The hall is in a great location, close to both the Lake District and North Pennines, and with a local pub and cafe within walking distance.

Had a fantastic stay at Kirkbride Hall. The house and garden are wonderful. It just had a lovely feel as soon as we arrived. The only reason we aren’t giving 5 stars is that we have dogs and the weather was awful (didn’t spoil anything though) so the dogs were very muddy even just nipping in the garden. There are no doors downstairs and we found it stressful keeping the dogs from going Into the living room and dirtying the sofas etc. The living room could very easily have doors and we think it would really benefit both clients but also the owners as it would be easier to keep muddy dogs out 🐾 I would also like to say we had Lynn Hilditch come over and cooked a meal for us. She’s on the Rowley Estate website. She was fantastic and the experience really added to our stay.

This house is so lovely and the hosts are lovely too! The welcome hamper was amazing and the house was absolutely immaculate. Would definitely recommend!
