Beautiful location with excellent hosts. Everything we could have asked for. Highly recommended

Excellent stay at Gill Beck Barn, Christine was friendly, helpful and very responsive – offering extensive and thorough information before our arrival too. The barn was spotless, the welcome hamper was delightful and the welcome pup hamper was an extra special touch. It really is a dog friendly space with enclosed garden – our dogs LOVED nothing more than running around playing with their toys! The barn itself is well equipped and Christine has really thought of everything, we especially enjoyed cooking on the aga and the BBQ! Bathroom products are lovely! And locally produced. Everything is easily accessible by car – with some lovely local produce shops about 15 minutes away (Cranstons is worth a visit!) We also followed some of Christine’s recommendations and visited the old village bakery and the shepherds inn – both excellent. We will definitely stay with Christine again and are already thinking about our next trip! Thank you!!

Christine and her team know exactly how to give you a warm welcome. The hamper waiting for your arrival has everything you require to settle in and unwind straightaway. The Barn is comfortable and spacious . We also hired Todd hills for a large family gathering. This is our second stay in a Rowley property. Can’t see us choosing anywhere else in the future. Thanks for the great communication regarding the booking. I would highly recommend.

What a fabulous week. 6 adults 2 babies and 5 dogs had a super time. We had our shopping delivered on the day of arrival and we were all set. Everything you need is there it is home from home.
Short walk to village the bakery is first class for breakfast or lunch. The pub is also handy although we didn’t eat there but looked very nice.
Penrith and other places of interest are within easy reach as are the wider lakes.
Although Gill Beck Barn is the perfect get away from it all and chill with lovely walks nearby or just enjoy the beautiful views on your doorstep.
I highly recommend this accommodation and have rebooked to visit again in 2027.

Absolutely superb find. 6 adults 2 babies and 5 dogs. The barn was perfect in every way. Pub and Village Bakery highly recommend. Short drive into Penrith where all major supermarkets and small shops to buy everything you need. I cannot recommend this property enough. Thank you for a lovely stay

The place is wonderful! The host has thought of everything to make the stay as comfortable as possible (the basket of local produce was phenomenal). The property is spacious but cosy and comfortable throughout with all the facilities and utensils you’d need. Looking out over fells, watching lambs jump about whilst cooking breakfast on the Aga was pretty much the quintessential experience I’d hoped for, and this property delivered!

Beautiful house with everything we needed and in the most picturesque surroundings. Loved the amazing hamper and use of toiletries and our dogs had a fabulous time running around in the enclosed garden. Would come back again. Christine and the team at Rowley Estates were helpful and responsive and gave us great advice on the locality and places to visit.

We had a fantastic stay. The house was spotless, beautifully maintained, and incredibly peaceful. The perfect place to relax and unwind. The location was ideal, with everything we needed close by while still feeling quiet and private. Christine was excellent – friendly, responsive, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our stay. You can really tell she cares about creating a great experience for guests. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a clean, comfortable, and tranquil stay in a great location. We would definitely come back!

Amazing barn conversion, done to the highest standard. High quality, generous and delicious welcome pack. Host was incredibly helpful and extremely responsive. Overall, a beautiful place to stay, would highly recommend.

We stayed here for my birthday celebrations in February, with friends. The Barn was immaculate, the welcome pack generous and delicious and the facilities were exceptional. Very comfortable and equipped with literally everything you would need. Beautiful Barn in a beautiful location. Definitely will be returning
