This is a very well equipped holiday home for all season holidays. Plenty of space for the family, with or without dogs. Warm and comfortable. Most generous welcome hamper of local products.Beautiful area for scenic walks, or cycling.

A brilliant weekend here at Gill Beck Barn catching up with old friends, the midground as from Scotland and Manchester. Love the Aga (home from home) for cooking, drying the dogs. Really appreciated the basket of goodies. Even managed a walk despite it ‘blowing a hoolie’ – we will be back!!

Just returned from a lovely weekend at Gill Beck – 3 couples (‘old’ uni friends). The weather was horrendously windy as we caught the tail end of Storm Claudia however the cottage was welcoming and warm ideal for our party. We were really impressed by the little extra – the welcome basket, toiletries, folder with local walks etc as this shows the owner is invested in guests in our opinion. Great space in front of the fire to warm up and a lovely table to eat together where the ‘cooks’ can be completely involved too. There were logs for when we arrived which were definitely necessary as it was freezing weather however not sure if more are provided and don’t remember reading about this so best to check first. Very comfortable bedrooms all en-suite which is lovely. Great garden to allow dogs out into. Would definitely recommend. We will be back.

Had a lovely stay at Gill Beck Barn. The surrounding area was beautiful and the house was lovely and cosy. The garden was the perfect size for our 3 dogs to run around. Would love to stay here again in the future!

Christine and team. What a beautiful place. We had the perfect week full of walks, food and lots of laughter. The Cottage is so well equipped with the generous hamper being the perfect start to our stay. You’ve really thought if everything. General consensus from our group was ”loved it”. We will definitely be back to explore more. Shepherds Inn is also epic. Top tip, don’t eat the chilli!

the rowleys were exceptionally hospitable. the house is very well set up. 3 large bedrooms with en suite bathrooms. not much more one could ask for. the guests i had with me were very happy.

The house is beautiful and had everything you could possibly need! The garden was secure and beautifully kept and there were plenty of logs for the fire pit. Our dogs loved the garden! Attention to detail was evident and sustainable items used. In addition the welcome gift is a delightful touch. Christine was very responsive and the self check in was easy. Would highly recommend!
