Christine made us feel welcome from the moment we booked the cottage right through to the end of our stay. I honestly couldn’t recommend this place enough. We booked the cottage as a surprise getaway for my sister’s 40th birthday, and we were looking for somewhere peaceful where we could also bring our dogs. The secure (and massive!) garden was perfect for them. The generous stock of logs and the incredibly thoughtful hamper on arrival went above and beyond our expectations. The barn itself is very spacious, and having all three bedrooms en-suite was so convenient for our group. It’s only about half an hour from Ullswater Lake, which made it the perfect base to explore this beautiful area. We’ll definitely be coming back and will be recommending this cottage to others in the future. Thank you ! X

Gill Beck Barn benefits from being in a beautiful location as well as being sympathetically renovated and decorated. Christine was an excellent host, responding quickly to an issue we had with the heating, as well has providing lots of information before our stay. The barn has lots of outdoor room with a large secure driveway and garden and was absolutely spotless. each of the bedrooms were well appointed and spacious and have use of their own shower and toilets which was ideal for our family.

Everything was perfect! Location, beautiful setting, amazing house, great accessibility, fabulous welcome pack and excellent communication. We had the best time. Would love to return!

A fabulous place to share with friends. Lovely bright property, every comfort thought of, well equipped, fabulous outside space and location. Great base for walking and cycling from the door.

Gill Beck Barn was one of the nicest places we’ve ever stayed. Everything as catered for and the place was spotless, luxurious and in a magical location. Would highly recommend and can’t wait to visit again and try some of the other properties.

We had an amazing stay celebrating my father in-law’s retirement. The house so well equipped, beautifully furnished, and the showers were amazing. Would definitely recommend staying at this place! The host was always helpful and responsive – thank you so much for having us!
