My family and I stayed here in July to celebrate my 60th birthday. The attention to detail is second to none and Christine and her team definitely make you feel that you are the first to be staying in the property. The accommodation is fantastic offering 3 en-suite bedrooms and the kitchen facilities with Aga are very extensive. We have never had such an amazing welcome hamper, despite many UK holidays.

As the weather was so warm we spent a lot of time in the large garden, which our dogs loved too and took advantage of the bbq and complimentary charcoal. We were invited to raspberry pick in the Rowley Estate field near Long Meg and her Daughters which we did and also bought their homemade jam which was delicious.

This was our second stay, the first being in March 2022 when we came with friends and enjoyed cooking with the Aga and snuggling up around the log burner. The barn with all its facilities successfully caters for every season and we know we will definitely be booking to go back again.

Perfect for a friend’s 60th birthday. The house was well equipped with everything you would need. The bedding was superb and everyone commented on the best two nights sleep they had ever had. The toiletries were beautiful which added to our wonderful stay.

Excellent accommodation in a peaceful area but well placed to explore the area for walking and cycling. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Barn

We loved staying at Christine’s house. Was perfect for a relaxing few days with friends. She was a great communicator and extended our check out 🙂 Really recommend the house.

The cottage was great, clean and as described. Our dogs loved the garden and as it’s all fenced in they could go out whenever they liked. Welcome pack was excellent and much appreciated. Would recommend this cottage to stay in.

We had a lovely time at Gill Beck Barn. It is extremely well equipped for both humans and dogs alike. Well maintained inside and out, garden is enclosed and felt safe for the dogs. We also particularly enjoyed the bbq and fire pit on the single warm and sunny evening we had during our stay!

Our stay at Gill Beck Barn was over too quickly! The barn had everything we could need for our week’s holiday and was thoughtfully provided. We arrived to a beautiful ‘welcome basket’ and pristine accommodation. The position of the barn is in walking distance to the local pub and bakery as well as some stunning walk/runs/hikes, lots of ideas had been provided in the folders as well. Easy drive to even more beautiful walking and exploration of the Lakes as well as the Pennines. Really wonderful stay – thank you.
