We stayed at Birch Retreat for our Christmas as a family of three and we had the best Christmas ever. Birch Retreat exceeded all our expectations. It was lovely and cosy. It was always warm with central heating and a lovely log fire. Soooo many logs for the fires you will never run out. Gorgeous shower gel, shampoo and moisturiser to use. Lots of lovely towels to keep us going. Really comfortable beds. Everything you need in the kitchen. The welcome hamper was a lovely touch and the homemade jam was lovely. The area is lovely and quiet. There are 2 other cabins in view. Birch Retreat is on the end next to woodland and a river which was perfect for us as it gave us our own little private walk which our daughter loved each day. There is a lovely pub a quick walk down the road. We were sorry to leave, we had such a lovely peaceful time. Christine was a great attentive host. We hope to return and stay again! Thank you x

Both cottages were absolutely perfect! We were away competing all weekend with friends and it was the perfect space to wind down in the evening! We couldn’t have asked for any more and the welcome hamper is such a special treat! A very special place to also spend my 30th birthday surrounded by my friends and family! Had a fantastic time here. The peace and quiet was exactly what we needed. Clean & tidy and very cosy.

Gill Beck Barn benefits from being in a beautiful location as well as being sympathetically renovated and decorated. Christine was an excellent host, responding quickly to an issue we had with the heating, as well has providing lots of information before our stay. The barn has lots of outdoor room with a large secure driveway and garden and was absolutely spotless. each of the bedrooms were well appointed and spacious and have use of their own shower and toilets which was ideal for our family.

We recently had such a lovely stay in the birch retreat with our two young kids, it is a wonderful peaceful spot and the cabins are very well equipped. Highly recommend and we will definitely be back.

I have just spent 4 days at Elk Cottage and it has to be one of the best yet! Every attention to detail was taken care of, stunning welcome hamper full of everything you could need and much more. So many little things that just made our stay even better than expected. Christine was very welcoming and plenty of communication and information in advance. The cottage is spotless with everything well thought through. Dogs are very well catered for also. A wonderful experience – thank you

Absolutely stunning location, we had our wedding here last month and couldn’t be happier, Joanna was a fantastic help on the day and we both really appreciate how easy you made it to sort out all the flowers, caterers, etc. Definitely going to try and find an excuse to stay here again!
