Wow, what can I say. We stayed at Elk cottage and it did not disappoint, it has everything and I mean EVERYTHING you need, we often stay at self catering accomodation and find something vital missing. Not here! Beds are super comfy, definitely have a hotel feel. But a home from home vibe.

The communication with Christine was great from the start, instructions clear and super useful.

We really appreciated the welcome hamper of local products, it really shows you are being looked after and we were able to take our dog without extra £ (very rare these days) he had his own box too with dog bowls and towels and treats, again small touches we have not experienced elsewhere, and mean a lot!

We would book any accommodation at the Rowley Estates again without hesitation, I have every faith each will be as great as our stay at Elk cottage.

This is a 5 star cottage that gets the important things right, really comfortable bed and well equipped kitchen. Decent sized rooms and the best welcome hamper we have had. Situated in lovely countryside and accessible to the Lakes.

I had another wonderful stay at one of the cottages from The Rowley Estates. The standard of the properties set the bar for the other holiday rentals and not many measure up. It is always a warm greeting that meets any enquires prior to booking, and then a positive experience from booking to departure and beyond. The cottages are finished to a good standard, with great finishing touches throughout. The kitchen is well stocked so you can actually make food, and the properties are genuinely dog friendly. Thanks again, and hope to be back soon.

We, two couples and two miniature daxies, had a fabulously relaxing long weekend in this stunning cottage – equipped with everything needed to chill, eat, drink and make merry. The beds are so comfortable with exquisite bed linen; there are proper sized fluffy towels and loads of hot water. Nothing was too much trouble for Christine and her brilliant team ensuring we just had a wonderful time – I cannot recommend highly enough

Every Rowley place is the same – fabulously equipped, spotlessly clean, really well furnished and great facilities too. Christine and Charlie are masters at this – they run every property as if it is their own. We have now been to several and have always been super impressed. We had a great week with some uncharacteristically fine weather too. Thank you ‘Rowleys’ for a great week – again.

Elk Cottage was just lovely. Like all the Rowley cottages it was really well equipped and tastefully decorated. We had a lovely time and went on several walks and a visit to the Lakes. Our Collie Molly loved the cottage and enjoyed keeping the local cat at bay!

We had a family weekend to celebrate a big birthday. We all enjoyed our stay in a wonderfully atmospheric environment, with great facilities of high quality. The adjacent Jenny’s Croft provided the additional sleeping accommodation we needed, and was self-contained and to the same high standard.
We would highly recommend these premises for an enjoyable stay.

We have stayed at Rowley cottages many times and are always delighted at the high standard. Beautiful toiletries, fabulous bedding and a hamper to enjoy, filled with local produce. The Rowley family will respond quickly to any issues and give you ideas for day trips. I can only recommend these lovely cottages for a short break.
