Perfect venue for family celebration for Golden Wedding. Beautiful building, sensitively restored and very comfortable. Peaceful setting with lovely views. Lovely welcome basket and modern, well equipped kitchen. A really enjoyable and restful weekend in a lovely historic setting.

Me and my family / friends loved staying at Glassonby Hall and adjacent properties. Christine and team at Rowley Estates were perfect hosts. My guests could not believe the quality of the accommodation and didn’t want to leave. 100% recommended.

Our family had a really happy time at Glassonby Old Hall and Jenny’s Croft for Christmas. Enjoyed cooking Christmas lunch in the Aga and eating in the magnificent setting of the hall. Lovely walking in beautiful countryside and comfy beds made for a memorable end to 2021.

We originally booked Glassonby Old Hall as bridal party accommodation for our daughter’s wedding. When we had to change the date due to COVID, Christine could not have been more helpful. Unfortunately it was not available for the new wedding date so, instead, we decided to have a weekend away with friends – and what a fantastic weekend! The Hall is beautifully decorated and equipped with everything needed to make the weekend perfect. The location is great for a nice country walk or a walk to the pub for Sunday lunch. All information/directions/instructions were welcome and straightforward without making anything too complicated or too much work and the welcome pack was a lovely gesture. We’ll definitely be back.

Recently had a stay at Glassonby old hall . This is our 3rd time to one of Christine’s properties. Fabulous house in a lovely location. Nice walks on the door step. If you want to go over to lakes you are only a 20 min drive. House was great. Everything you need. Lovely big sitting room to all retire to on an evening. Beautiful bedrooms and house was immaculate on arrival.

Booked via the Rural Retreats website. As a regular visitor to the area for motorcycling, I convinced the family to take a break, we could not have asked for a better place to stay or area to stay in. Really peaceful yet close enough to the villages for a bite to eat or a beer. The amenities at Glassonby Hall were spot on and we made full use of the BBQ, billiards table and large family table in the kitchen. With an age range from 24-76 everybody really relaxed and enjoyed themselves especially with the livestock to watch across the road sipping a wine as the sun sank.. Needless to say we WILL be back in the not to distant future, A1, first class, we loved it (we have no association with the owners just feel that if its great it should be shouted about!!!) The Giggs
