We had a perfect stay it was perfect!

Had a lovely stay here an Oak Retreat, for our second year in a row. Christine was very proactive and helpful and even gave us flexible check in/out times. Location is perfect for hiking and situated near some of the highlights of The Lake District. Very cosy, felt right at home! Peaceful and serene area without being too far away from necessities. Hopefully we will return next year!

Beautiful cottage, very well equipped, comfortable and cosy, home from home, they have thought of everything.

14 friends had an amazing time in Hause Hall on the weekend of 23rd- 26th January 2026. The Hall, the barn and the stables were all immaculate, cosy warm on a typical blustery lake district winter weekend. The log fire was lovely , the view out to the fells from the large lounge was stunning , the walking right from the doorstep was wonderful, the food hamper was exemplary….what more can we say, except thst we are ready to book again for next year. Amazing place for large group of people to enjoy a special occasion

Another memorable trip to a grand venue – despite how spectacular the property is, it manages to feel like a welcoming home!

A lovely few days spent at Oak Retreat. The cabin was amazing and had all the amenities we needed. We loved the little personal touches that were left for us, including local coffee, tea, bread and eggs. Straightforward drive from Penrith and accessible for the rest of the Lakes. We had an absolute wonderful stay at this charming farmhouse! Nestled in breathtaking surroundings, it was the perfect getaway for our extended family and a family dog. The farmhouse was spacious and well-equipped with plenty of crockery, cutlery and everything we needed in the kitchen. We celebrated my son’s 21st birthday on NYE and enjoyed making great breakfasts and dinners together. The Christmas tree added a lovely festive touch, and the en-suite bedrooms ensured everyone had their own privacy. We went on long, relaxing walks and truly felt at home. Highly recommend this gem!
