Cazenovia Hall and Wythburn Cottage were the perfect location and accommodation for our family group. The cleanliness of the properties and the beautiful well kept grounds were a delight to stay in. The welcome basket was brimming with locally made goodies. We also appreciated the toiletries supplied were locally made. Each room has its own character, beautifully presented, all with fabulous showers and comfortable beds. The sheets felt and smelled divine! The communal areas are ideal for a family reunion. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay. We’ll be back for our 2nd stay next year!

Stayed here with 12 of my relatives to celebrate Eid. A gorgeous property in a stunning area. The house itself is beautiful – very homely and communal, with lots of brilliant amenities. All of it was sparkling when we arrived!

Christine was very helpful and more than accommodating which was much appreciated. Cannot recommend enough – day trips to Aira Force waterfall and Greystoke castle is highly recommended!

I booked this hut for my girlfriend’s birthday and wow, it did not disappoint. Inside the hut was incredible, very spacious and had everything we needed and more! We literally didn’t need to bring anything. We couldn’t believe that The host left us bread, butter, jam, milk, fresh bread, muesli, tea, eggs, coffee and Cumbrian apple juice which we loved so much! The location of this hut was beautiful, we loved just sitting by the stream and listening to nature, it felt very private and secluded. We loved using the fire pit and barbecue, and all wood and coal was there to use which was brilliant. Overall I think this hut was very good value for money, and would not hesitate to come back and stay again 😊

We had the most incredible peaceful stay in this beautiful shepherd’s hut. From the moment we arrived, it felt like the perfect escape — quiet, cosy, and surrounded by stunning scenery. The hut itself was beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Every little detail had clearly been thought about, making it feel both luxurious and homely at the same time.
Waking up to the peaceful surroundings and relaxing in such a tranquil setting was exactly what we needed. We left feeling completely refreshed and already can’t wait to come back. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing countryside getaway!

Absolutely beautiful place, gorgeous surroundings.
Everything so well thought out – from the layout of the rooms, tasteful decor, to the linen, towels and makeup flannels! A well stocked welcome hamper awaited us on arrival with locally sourced produce.
Host Christine was on hand to answer any queries we had around check in and check out.
We will definitely be returning – a new favourite to add to our lakes list!
