Blencowe Hall was ideal for our family weekend for 13 adults and 11 children. We all had a fantastic time in this stunning yet comfortable and well-appointed venue. The Hall had everything we needed for a large family gathering as well as the wow factor.
The owner was extremely responsive and helpful with my many enquiries before our stay, which made organising the weekend much easier and stress-free.

Had a lovely stay at Glassonby Old Hall (and adjoining cottage Jenny’s Croft) for a family get-together – plenty of space, very clean, good facilities, excellent provisions for children and dogs and a very generous welcome hamper. Just note there are a few steps in the hall for toddlers/people with mobility issues. Hosts were great and very quick to respond to queries. Would definitely recommend and happily stay again!

Wonderful stay at Jenny’s Croft. Accommodation spotless and a beautiful setting. House was so well equipped with everything one might need.

Very cute, small as expected but had everything you need, very relaxing just chilling with the blinds and windows open with the natural light and sounds surrounding. Even saw a deer one morning!

We had a wonderful experience at the Oak Retreat. Check in was easy and Christine gave us lots of prior information about activities in the Lakes during our stay. We really appreciated the delicious array of local delicacies that was waiting for us on our arrival and the ready to light fireplace. The place was spotless and had all the amenities we needed (including a sharp knife!). The views from the front door and windows are absolutely idyllic, we enjoyed watching lambs prancing about every day in the neighbouring field. The location makes it incredibly easy to access the lakes and we looked forward to relaxing in the retreat after walks during the day. We will definitely consider returning for future stays, its hard to imagine a more peaceful way to stay in the area. Highly recommended!

We had a great stay here and would definitely recommend it. The place was peaceful, cosy, and really well looked after, with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The surroundings were beautiful and it was the perfect place to relax and switch off for a few days. The host was also very helpful and communication was excellent throughout.

Had an amazing few days at Larch retreat. The hut was beautiful and far bigger than we were expecting. The views from the front door were exactly what we were after, with lambs as an added bonus.
We will definitely be returning here in the future.

This stay was honestly so magical. Not only was the accommodation beautiful, peaceful, and thoughtfully done, but waking up to views of lambs outside the windows made it feel extra special. The location was perfect, so easy to get everywhere we wanted to visit, yet it still felt wonderfully private and secluded. We’re so pleased we chose to stay here and would absolutely love to come back!
