My wife and I spent a fantastic week in Jenny Croft. The property has a lovely position in a village with panoramic views, although a car is essential to visit the area. Its very peaceful and great for dog walking. The cottage itself had a welcome hamper with local produce upon arrival. The furniture is in keeping with the period features of the cottage and the hosts are very quick to respond to any needs. I would recommend this cottage for a peaceful and relaxing holiday.

Absolutely amazing stay at Jenny’s Croft with 3 adults and 2 dogs .Plenty space for everyone very comfortable,clean,well equipped and beautifully furnished.Everything well thought out a beautiful welcome basket awaited us when we arrived full of local produce, even treats for the dogs,the Fudge was amazing.Locally lots of beautiful walks Lacey’s cave is worth a visit also not too far from Lake District for the hills . Idyllic and peace itself would highly recommend Jenny’s Croft .The owner kept us up to date with booking and things to do ,any questions were answered promptly,nothing was a bother .Hope to return at some point

A very well appointed, spacious and comfortable cottage set in an attractive garden in a quiet village. A great location for exploring north Cumbria and the Eden Valley, particularly the local walks in the adjoining countryside. The welcome hamper was very generous and helped us to settle-in on arrival. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Jenny’s Croft and would certainly wish to return in the future. The booking and housekeeping procedures were very well managed by the Rowley Estates team. As a suggestion, a few cushions on the out door seats would improve the enjoyment of the patio on sunny days. Overall, an excellent property for a quiet and relaxing holiday.

Lovely cottage, very well equipped and spacious. It was especially nice to be able to make a cup of tea after our long journey from the well thought welcome pack provided. We really enjoyed our stay. Thank you.

Stayed there for the weekend with friends and my little dog. Apart for the weather everything was perfect and the welcoming hamper even included dog treats. I would recommend it 100% and The communication with Christine was great. We can’t wait to stay there again!

An exceptionally warm, comfy, clean and very well equipped cottage. A real home from home. The location is great for exploring Carlisle and Hadrians wall, the Pennines and the eastern Lake District. There are good pubs nearby for food and Penrith is just 20 minutes away for provisions. Some good local walking too near the River Eden and the Long Meg stone circle. Can highly recommend the Rowley Estate properties and especially Elk Cottage.
