What a place!! We have just spent a memorable few days here celebrating my 60th birthday with friends and it has been truly amazing. The hall is warm, comfortable and very well equipped with everything you could possibly need. The welcome hamper was large and full of quality local products. There are some stunning bedrooms and many have four posters, large baths and showers en-suite. Rural views from every window – a huge social lounge with 2 fireplaces and squishy sofas you don’t want to leave! Two other smaller snugs and of course the full size snooker table that proved a very enjoyable activity. We had a formal celebration dinner in the dining room with delicious food provided by Lynn Hilditch who we highly recommend as a caterer. Christine and her team were very attentive throughout. We just need another reason to return to this unique venue.

We had an amazing stay. Christine was so lovely and helpful with giving us information on what to do in the area. She also left a wonderful welcome hamper. It was the perfect place to celebrate my mums birthday. Thank you!!!

If you like your mediaeval castle to also be warm and welcoming, with hot powerful showers, as well as stunning period features and award-winning architectural enhancements, then this is the place for you! We hosted our 65th birthday celebrations for friends and family, for ages 6 weeks to 66 years old, and it created superb, unforgettable memories for everyone. We’ve been home for just one day, and are already exploring opportunities for our next adventure!

Stayed at Blencowe Hall for my sister’s hen party. The building and grounds are stunning and everyone was wowed – it’s not every day you get to stay in a castle!
The little touches topped off our stay. A delicious and very generous hamper was left which was filled with local, great quality produce and the toiletries in the bathrooms made us feel like we were at a spa!
Christine has been amazing from beginning to end. From when we booked, last year, she has been on hand to answer my endless questions and always responds quickly and in a very friendly way!

This is the second time that we have stayed at Blencowe Hall and we’re still brimming with enthusiasm for this glorious house. Not only is it stunningly beautiful but huge care has been made to ensure that guests are as comfortable as possible. The kitchen is very well equipped, and the adjoining utility area gives plenty of space for dumping coats, wellies and alcohol supplies. Blencowe is attractively decorated and furnished but nothing feels too “precious” as the beds and chairs are sturdy and comfortable and our party really enjoyed our games around the billiard table. There was room for everyone in the main sitting room and we appreciated the fact that there were a couple of other snugs to tuck away in too. Credit too for the number of loos and bathrooms and the fact that despite its size the house feels warm. It’s an amazing place to stay.

Unsure what words to use to describe Blencowe Hall. Amazing, outstanding, marvellous, astounding, astonishing, mind blowing, the list could go on for a long time. But, in a nutshell, this venue is beyond belief, from arriving at the door and being the first to wander round I was in awe of both the interior and exterior of the property. It truly is a 5*, 10/10 property.
All 12 bedrooms are wonderfully furnished, the kitchen is a wonderful place to both cook and socialise and the rest, well, is equally as amazing.
Communication with the host and her team was speedy and I was kept well informed at all times and nothing was too much trouble.
This property should certainly be the one you choose if you are reading this review, you will not be disappointed.

We absolutely loved our stay and wedding at Blencowe Hall! The hall had everything we needed and the grounds were the perfect setting for our wedding ceremony. Christine and Joanna were amazing from booking to the big day, always on hand if we needed anything. Our families loved the weekend in the castle and we’ll never forget our stay there.

We also highly recommend Lynn Hilditch Catering if you need a caterer whilst staying at the hall. The food was AMAZING and her team fabulous. Couldn’t do enough to make sure the meal was perfect and left the kitchen spotless!

Had the most wonderful vow Renewal weekend here with our friends and family. Christine was a vital and very much valued point of contact in the run up to and during our stay. We cannot wait to return. Every room was superb, beds so comfortable it made it difficult to get out of them in the morning and a kitchen so well stocked with the complimentary gift basket that we needed to bring in little for the weekend.

Blencowe is a magical place. We had our wedding there and it was a wonderfully intimate venue. We hired the cottages too which were all beautiful. Our guests, young and older, found the venue enchanting. Joanna from the Rowley Estates team was very helpful with supplier contacts and support. Highly recommended for any special event!

A rare and special place. Wonderful 5 star accommodation – a combination of historic grandeur and modern facilities. The perfect venue for a special birthday house party (especially if you book Lynn Hilditch for catering!). Highly recommended.
