Perfect place for our family celebration! Fabulous house and the owners were so lovely to deal with at booking and throughout. Will be booking again in the future.

I called Christine at The Rowley Estates very last minute to see if she could accommodate our very short notice wedding, Christine was so so helpful and accommodating, by pure luck she managed to fit myself and now husband in, I was over the moon. I cannot recommend Blencowe Hall enough, it was an absolutely stunning venue, it was perfect for us. All the staff were so helpful and just lovely to talk too. I will be forever grateful to The Rowley Estates for making our very short notice wedding happen. Massive hugs to all the team.

44 of us stayed ay Blencowe in mid December 2021 for a 50tth birthday celebration and it was without doubt the most wonderful place we have ever stayed. All of our guests thought it was a fantastic venue and could not believe how well every room had been refurbished. It is somewhere I would highly recommend

Just spent an extended family Christmas at blencowe hall. A fabulous location in an amazing building. Can’t recommend Lynn enough if you’re looking for a catered option, the food was delicious and Lynn catered to all our varied needs. The accomadation was comfortable and spacious. Thanks to Christine and her team for making our Christmas very special

Can I just say how much we all enjoyed our stay at your amazing house. Hard to imagine a better venue for a large family gathering. There’s already a suggestion of a return visit.

+ We were very impressed by the cleanliness of the place when we arrived. Your team did a good job.

+ the dining room and two bedrooms above were spectacular, having the double glass doors.

+ all the other bedrooms were absolutely in keeping with a period building.

+ the lounge was very comfortable with all the leather sofas, and allowed for different activities within the one room.

The Americans in our party were awestruck, and could just not believe what they were seeing.

I should mention that we think there might be a ghost (unless someone was playing a trick). The couple in the bedroom at the top of the south tower heard someone coming up the stone stairs to their room, but when no-one appeared they went to look. There was no-one on the stairs and no-one in their bathroom either. Spooky!

We recently returned from celebrating our wedding at Blencowe Hall and would recommend for future guests looking for somewhere intimate for their wedding! We had been liaising throughout the year with Joanna, the wedding coordinator, who has been incredibly responsive and helpful throughout the whole process. We feel she went above and beyond to ensure everything ran smoothly and that we stayed well informed regarding all COVID-19 procedures. The Hall itself is huge and as we had 19 guests staying with us, was a perfect size for everybody to be able to gather together alongside the fire in the Solar Room or enjoy their own space in the many other communal rooms throughout the Hall. It’s got such character and all of our guests loved it, especially guests who came from far to be with us – it has real English charm! We hired out the Byre as an extra for our ceremony which worked really well and we absolutely loved the style of the building. We decided to dec the whole place out ourselves with a autumnal theme and set up our own self-serve bar outside on the flagged patio. Later in the evening, we had Lynn Hilditch come and serve us all garlic bread and pizza from her pizza oven alongside some really delicious salads. It was Lynn’s first event where all of the food was vegan and you wouldn’t have guessed it! It was all absolutely amazing, we had non-vegan guests say that it was the best pizza they’d ever had and the garlic bread went down a storm! We had Lynn come back the morning after to do a vegan brunch, full English style, with some of her homemade chocolate granola and fresh fruit – again, our guests were in awe of how generous her portions were, how friendly she and her staff were and how delicious the food was. Would highly recommend! Thank you all for helping make our day so special and run so smoothly. Our guests were blown away and we will always have fond memories of the place!

We had a fabulous time thank you. Everything about the castle is first class. The beds, pillows and bedding – luxury. Everybody in the group commented. The dining room was so welcoming although we spent a lot of time in the kitchen. The welcome basket was great, especially the fudge and biscuits. I honestly couldn’t find anything negative to say we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would come back in a heartbeat

I cannot recommend Blencowe Hall highly enough! 24 of us stayed for 3 days for a Hen Weekend and it was absolutely perfect. Christine was fantastic throughout the booking process, despite 3 date moves due to Covid, the flexibility, professionalism and care was superb. Blencowe Hall itself is just unbelievably amazing. It is HUGE, with so much space, beautiful furnishing and a real sense of luxury. It was the perfect place to make many happy memories! I look forward to more bookings with the Rowley Estates and would love to return to Blencowe in the future!
