We had an absolutely fantastic time this weekend. The house is amazing. We loved spending time here and we are already planning our next stay here.

I booked this cottage for a trip with my sister and our 3 children (age 8 – 11). It was perfect. Everywhere was immaculate and clean. The welcome hamper was full of lovely goodies. The kitchen was very well big a spacious and had all the equipment you’d need. You could very easily fit two families in the cottage. The information pack was brilliant gave lots of relevant information about the local area. Thank you for a great stay we will be back.

We rented Kirkbride Hall as overspill accommodation for a large family gathering in Melmerby and found it a wonderfully relaxing place. The house sleeps 8 in 4 spacious rooms, most en suite (we were only 5 as rest of the party were in the big Hall

The amenities were first class with fully equipped kitchen stocked with more than sufficient crockery cutlery and glassware for a full eight person stay.
spacious garden with outside space for barbecues an dining, plus plenty of room for the dog to run around.

we found the owners and their staff most helpful and Melmerby to be a lovely village with nice team rooms and a lovely Pub.

Our second stay here an it was like coming home! Again, the cottage was cosy, perfectly equipped and waiting for us to enjoy it! And we did! Thank you for organising the birthday flowers! My compliments to your florist! The hamper was delicious! The hot tub was a delight! Going home tomorrow! It feels like the time has flown by! Til next time!

Beautiful cottage, very well equipped, very comfortable, grest location

A gorgeous house with 4 bedrooms (3 large ensuing doubles, one smaller double with ensuing shower and twin room with adjacent bathroom) ,a huge kitchen with Aga and masses of everything one could want for staying and entertaining, crockery and glasses for 20 people , comfortable sitting room and stunning conservatory as well as outdoor seating and barbecues with charcoal provided. We were a group of 12 so 3 stayed in the Cruik Barn but all ate together. It’s easy to walk out of the house and straight into the surrounding hills, and the views from the house and patio are incredible. We couldn’t have been happier. The welcome hamper had a lovely selection of goodies including tea, coffee, biscuits and local fudge,and the meal we had catered by Lynn Hilditch as recommended when booking was fantastic, a real highlight of our stay. I’m pushing to make our visit an annual event as we came from Scotland, Hampshire and Cambridgeshire to meet and all agreed it was a perfect location.

Fantastic accommodation and welcome pack. Scenery outstanding and tranquil apart from a few noisy sheep! Would love to spend Christmas here – bliss!!

This house couldn’t have been any better ! Lovely setting with amazing views and wonderful walking straight from the door. Lovely cosy sitting area with wood fire for cold days and a beautiful sun room with views and easy access to a patio and garden for warmer days. Well equipped throughout with every little detail attended to and beautifully furnished. Great kitchen for self-catering and lovely pub/hotel within walking distance. Easy access to the Ullswater ferries. Friendly helpful manager and spotlessly clean. Delicious “welcome hamper” too. I would highly recommend this farmhouse, stables and barn as for our party of 17 walking friends it was just perfect !
