We had a really wonderful experience at Melmerby Hall. Our 3rd stay and hopefully more to follow . Perfect Birthday experience shared with family and friends. There’s everything you need for self catering, everything. We do a lot of self catering and almost always there’s something missing but not here. Tables can fit 18 people around comfortably so you can all sit together. Outside caters available if needed. We prepared our own food and the kitchen was fully equipped. Christine was really helpful before we went with my questions and info searching. She was available should we have needed her which we didn’t because everything was perfect. Lovely walks, beautiful grounds, plenty of parking, great little cafe with a bakery and gift shop nearby and a lovely pub in the village, just a stroll away. Highly recommend you try Melmerby Hall.

Our first trip to the Lake District was incredible and was made even more special staying at the Oak Retreat. Cozy, comfortable and quiet. Loved the breakfast and log burner and a great nights sleep after a long day of hiking. Deserves all the praise it receives!

Staying at the Gill Beck barn was amazing. The house was spotless upon arrival with a lovely welcome package. All the beds and furniture were very comfortable and the wood-burning fireplace was an amazing addition on a cold winter night. Christine was also very communicative and made sure our stay was perfect. If you are looking for a place to stay in the area I would highly recommend staying here.

A very private and peaceful lodge, perfectly centred for our trip. Gorgeous views and sunrise in the morning, especially in the snow. Even managed to access the lodge in the snow as well! Bed was very spacious and comfy, and the lodge had all we needed, we especially liked the log burner! Christine was brilliant with any of our queries and Steve was very helpful, we’re so grateful! Thanks so much Christine, and a huge thanks to Steve as well, such a memorable trip, we’ll be back next year! 🙂

This is a fabulous cottage, lots of luxurious touches like the welcome hamper and lovely toiletries. The three bedrooms are huge. The Christmas declarations were approved of by our children. Stunning setting and spotlessly clean. We would return.

This is our third visit and it never fails our expectations. We spent 4 days over Christmas and everything was thought of for our arrival. Spectacular accommodation with stunning views. We certainly will be back again and again!! Just wished we could have stayed longer and not one of us wanted to leave! That to me shows what a wonderful place it is!!
